Xabi Alonso (Spain), Daniel Alves (Brazil), Iker Casillas (Spain), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Cesc Fabregas (Spain), Diego Forlan (Uruguay), Asamoah Gyan (Ghana), Andres Iniesta (Spain), Julio Cesar (Brazil), Miroslav Klose (Germany), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Maicon (Brazil), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Thomas Muller (Germany), Mesut Ozil (Germany), Carles Puyol (Spain), Arjen Robben (Holland), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany), Wesley Sneijder (Holland), David Villa (Spain) and Xavi (Spain).

No Carlos Tevez(29 goals last season 7 so far this season)?

Im a bit surprised at the likes of Klose(3 league goals last season 0 this season)Asamoah Gyan(only 14 goals in 2 seasons at Rennes)Muller(13 league goals last year 2 this year)
Do you have to just turn it on at the world cup to be nominated?

As much as i dislike Rooney he had a fantastic season last year it has tto be said, as a result of a crap world cup has he just been forgotten about?

If Villa wins it I reckon we should send Silva up to collect it and see if anyone notices.

Im just baffled that a player of Carlos's class can't make the cut and a Sunderland reserve team player like Gyan is included.
On what merit as he made it in on?

It's all bollox, how many of those players are in La Liga and how many from the Prem? It's all about back-patting from those in charge and who want to keep a tight control of all that is football.

Stinks to high-heaven, all of it. The French get the UEFA when they clearly do not have infastructure to deal with it, the current problems with the vote fixing scandals, and the ever present financial changes to keep those who run the game, at the top.

I wonder if Giggs and Scholes will suddenly get called up for it, afterall, they've played a few games this season haven't they!

Agreed.

Probably even more of an injustice that Diego Milito isn't on the list given the year that he had.

looks like a player of the WC competition with the tranny added in, Klose as said had a disaster of a season.

Lack of Rooney and Tevez is a disgrace, Rooney possibly ditched cause of off the field reason's I'd say. No excuse for Carles.

I saw that live. Keys was trying to set the agenda there no doubt. I think he's failed already.

Guaranteed that a Spanish player will win the award this year. Not sure which one though.

This must be based purely on world cup performances? Cambiaso, Lucio and Cole were by far the best players I saw last season in their positions, none of them have made the list.

3 Brazilians in the list, a goalie and 2 right backs. Surreal.

how is Gyan that list??? Tevez is by far the better player!! They should have at least put Higuain in the list over Gyan.

I used to get annoyed about shit like this...but...TBH...I really don't give a fuck what thosewannkers think...or do.
It does not affect the pleasure I get from watching my favourite players...and yes, Carlitos certainly does deserve to be in that list...
