We will have a tough task going to Wolverhampton!
I watched them at Stamford Bridge last Saturday and they played really well. Had chances, defended well (might've conceded more but nevertheless) and imo can really hold their heads up after that match.
Today's match at the half empty swamp is similar so we have to be ready to fight if we want to come away with all three points!

I hope that the defender who dived in for that 3rd goal plays Saturday, what a horrible bit of defending!

Is Fergie going to be fined for fielding a weakened team or is it JUST ANOTHER CASE OF THOSE BASTARDS AT FIFA OR WHEREVER STICKING UP FOR THE BIG FOUR??!
No but really, Wolves away, tough fixture

I have only seen Wolves play a couple of times this season.. both times they looked ok but lost. They look solid and in control but then collectively fucl up, as in someone makes a mistake and they dont react fast enough or correctly. Reminds me of a certain team under Hughes not that long ago.
I think it favours us to be away for this game and after the disaster that was the Arsenal game i think Wolves will suffer the backlash. There is no doubt it will be a tough game and i feel a good one for City right now, with Lech P away and WBA coming up. I rekon we will cut them open quiet easily between which will be some tough passages of play.

Shouldn't be a tough game really for our squad of players:
Wolves at home this season Won 1, Drawn 2 and Lost 1. They are second bottom in the league.
Has to be 3 points for us if we want to finish in the top 4.

Haha.
Imo, if they come out & play then we should bury them but if they keep it tight & just try to hit us on the break & at set pieces, it could be very tricky indeed, as we struggle to break teams down & to find the breakthrough goal. Silva's brilliant form (if he plays) & having our latest new player to come on in an emergency (Balotelli for a tap in or perhaps free kick?) gives me optimism though.

Not sure where you are getting that idea from.. they will be tough to beat, if we can cut through them we may well make it look easy, but it wont be in reality and we will have to play at top level to get anything out of it and keep them at bay.

Rightly or wrongly we'd be putting it down as 3 points to Chels, Arse, Spurs or rags so I sort of agree; these are the games we have to win & should win if we're a top side. Any of the top sides can lose to each other at any time but this is our 'bread & butter'.

A team who we should be sweeping aside if we really want to be classed as contenders and although respectful, I think we should be breezing this game.
Wolves form at the moment is LLLLDL and their last 4 home games have been WDLD against no more than average teams. If we don't get something from it or don't put in a good performance against an open side, I'll be very disappointed. Even United's reserves put 3 past them (even though they in turn could've easily had 4 or 5) and I just don't believe their squad and tactical play are anywhere near to us.

Don't underestimate them and it will be a piece of cake. But if we make the mistake of thinking it's an easy game we could be in for a torrid match.
I watched them last night and yes, they were against the rags' reserves but still they never lay down, I'm sure that if the third goal hadn't come on the 90th minute they would have equalised again, they were easily the better side last night and their finishing let them down but it won't always be like that.

Once again team selection is going to be interesting, partly due to Carlos being out but also due to Balotelli coming back in. Looks like Kolo will be ok too. Seems difficult to second guess Mancin... so im not convinced Ade will start up front.
Hart
Richards - Kolo - Kompany - Zabba
deJong
Silva - Barry - Milner
Balotelli
Ade

I'd like to see that side start but something tells me it won't.
Is Yaya injured? Otherwise I'd expect him to play. There's usually a random gamble selection who's not used to the position & a random back 4 change so I'll go for Balotelli in place of Ade or Silva & Boateng at right back.

The last bit made me laugh, and whats more its actually true! Anyone think we'll see AJ despite his antics?
