On loan, apparently a done deal, lets hope we don't have the same situation as last season.

Good move for Shay, plus it wont hurt us.I had visions of him rocking up to the Arse and playing a pivotal role.
If City dont insert a recall option they are fucking fools and i'll be pissed off.
Mega pissed off.

That was my first thought too, surely they will have learned from last season!?

Well if it's outside the Prem I think you can have a recall option
Talk yesterday of Taggart sniffing round him

Either that or sign a top keeper on loan ourselves. It's only fair to let Shay play football at the peak of his career but when we're happy to make huge changes to the back 4 & the whole formation of the team almost every game, I don't see why we can't alternate the keepers. They train together amongst the same players everyday, using the same methods & we have a lot of games to come so I don't get it.

Probably because the goalkeeping position is not as physical as that of an outfield player and don't need to be rested?

Will be a huge deal for Celtic they could do with him and i think he will be happy to play with them.
Thing is like Robbie Keane going on loan and being a huge hit in the end they have not got the money to make the deal permanent.
I honestly dont mind where he goes as long as we dont deal with any of the other top premier league sides.
Hes far to good to sell to one of the other top sides.

Fair enough but imo you gain so much by having two great keepers that if you could keep both of them happy, it gives you a huge advantage over your competitors who will probably all lose goals & perhaps points due to dodgy reserve goalkeepers dropping bollocks during the season.

If Given is about to go on loan in January, surely we have a replacement already lined up, as I don't think the club will be satisfied with Taylor as a back up.
