Back to the good old fashioned Saturday 3 o'clock kick-off (can't beat it) and, if you've not read it, click the link to read Xavi's excellent Match Preview to set you up for the game:

[urlnp=http://mancityfans.net/news/]Wolves Match Day Preview[/urlnp]

As you all know, I like the Beebs preview so here's a few Match Facts from them.
____________________

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

    • Wolves' first Premier League victory was against Manchester City in October 2003.

    • That is Wolves' only win in their last six games against City.

Wolves

    • Wolves have lost five of their last six league games and have not won since beating Stoke on the opening day.

    • They are the only Premier League side yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

    • Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has taken charge of five Premier League games against Manchester City, losing all of them (two with Wolves and three with Sunderland). City scored 11 times and conceded only twice in those five games.

Manchester City

    • Carlos Tevez, who will miss Saturday's game, has scored in all but one of City's last 19 Premier League victories.

    • The last league game the club won without the aid of a Tevez goal was a 2-0 victory against Portsmouth in January, when Emmanuel Adebayor and Vincent Kompany scored.

    • City are the only side yet to score a headed Premier League goal this season. Their last headed top-flight goal came from an unlikely source - Shaun Wright-Phillips nodded in against West Ham on the final day of last season.

LEADING GOALSCORERS

Wolves

Fletcher: 3 goals (2 league)

Man City
Tevez: 7 goals (7 league); Adebayor: 3 goals (0 league)

MATCH OFFICIALS

Referee: Mike Dean

Assistant referees: Glenn Turner & Paul Thompson

Fourth official: Howard Webb

_____________________________

Last season away under Mike Dean we didn't lose a game, which were:

Blackburn 0 - 2 Man City
Aston Villa 1 - 1 Man City
Birmingham 0 - 0 Man City
Chelsea 2 - 4 Man City
Arsenal 0 - 0 Man City

However, the one game we've had him for this season seen us walk away without the points after a last minute rush of blood from Micah, helping Darren Bent convert his second spot-kick of the season.

So, what will the team be, it's anybody's guess without Carlos playing? Either way it should be a strong side with a possible start for Super Mario and a first time appearance for Milner as the enforcer in place of Nige (if he's not fit). Let's all hope we walk away with the points and keep well in touch with the top of the table, especially the Rags who have a difficult gane against Spurs.

Come On City!!!

Why are the league employing Webb to hold boards up in our game whilst far inferior Refs take charge of other matches?

Mrs kicked me out of bed to look after the dog and and find a new house. I sorted the dog bit but I can't concentrate on houses while there's an impending game! Priorities and all that.

Oh, hi love (quickly switches to RightMove), this ones got a lovely garden!

That's pretty bizarre I must admit. I know other refs need experience but to have arguably the best ref in England as a 4th official doesn't seem right.

As there's no 'Team for Wolves' thread, I'll stick it here. What I'd like to see is this, considering the options:

Joe

Micah-----Kolo-----Vince-----Jerome

Yaya<----->James<----->Gareth

Dave-------------------------Mario

Ade

However, I'm not sure if Kolo's going to be ready so Jerome in for Kolo, Wayne in his place.

Not sure I like this new boyband type teamsheet.

Looking forwad to this, hope there are decent rivers.

Realy need to win and get things back on track. We were unlucky last week and played very well for large parts of the game, need to prove it was a blip. Expect a big performance from Silva today and I've backed him for a goal.

I'm hoping we hit them from the off because as their current record suggests, they aren't the best at the back and from what Mick McCarthy is suggesting, he isn't expecting much. Let's hope we don't see the pass it for the sake of passing it football and we see the likes of Silva and Milner putting balls through to our front lads to slot away.

The team Mancini worked with earlier in the week was:
Hart
Richards,Kolo,Vinnie,Boateng
Yaya,NDG,Barry
Silva,Ade,Balotelli

I quite like that team but for some reason I don't feel particularly confident today. If we make a good start it will be ok but I am a little worried about what Jarvis might do if the full backs don't sit tight on him.

In the Friday training session Nigel didn't feature as he seemed to have got a knock and Milner was brought in.Missing Nigel would worry me even more but I do expect him to play.Kolarov I would expect to be on the bench for this one and I wouldnt be surprised if he came on for some time and maybe not as full back.

Would love to see Kolarov get a run-out, not just because he's in my DreamTeam, but because I think he is the future LB for some time to come. Hopefully you're right about Nige, he's the key to securing our defence, and therefore our forward play.

I can see that team but with Milner in for Balo from the start, Balo to come on in second half, followed by Kolarov for the last 20.
