The academy team won again today! 2 nil against Stoke with a beauty from Harry Bunn to set it all off. Then after he went off Henshall came on and immediately won a pen which Roman put away.
Should have been more than 2 with some poor finishing and then near the end they got sloppy and could have conceced but overall a comfortable win. And Albert Rusnak came on for a cameo but not a very good one.

Every time I go on the OS I see a news story about Harry Bunn scoring, is he any good Doug?

Cheers Doug - was going to mention I keep hearing Bunn's name a lot (usually in connection with one or more goals) but mcfctm beat me to it.

He is very direct and a top finisher. Seems to have a good touch, makes good runs with good timing and he is quite quick as well. Basically all the attributes. I would say he will definitely make it but I just don't know at what level yet.

Does anyone know what's going on with Guidetti? Is he injured? I ask because he has 3 reserve games & 3 goals, played in the WBA shambles but seems to have disappeared off the radar again. It would have been so much better to see him coming on v Wolves than Jo.
Some of us have been praising 'little Pee' & his impact at OT; imo although not as quick, Guidetti has a very similar attitude & may possibly turn out to be just as good or better. He's a matchwinner & gave the same Arsenal CB who played v City last week a shitload of problems in the reseve fixture.

I only saw 5 minutes or so of the under 18 game yesterday as I was watching the under 16s.No good news there Im afraid. The worst I have seen them play all season. They were 2 down at half time when I had to leave to watch my friend boxing in the ABA championshios in Gorton.I believe they ended up losing 3-1.The left back I was very impressed with last game got caught in possession for the second Stoke goal and was substituted at half time.

That mistake by the left back was real schoolboy stuff although to be fair the keeper giving him the ball wasn't the most sensible thing I have seen. The full back should have realised the danger though and either passed back or hoofed it away rather than trying to beat the winger.

In the U16's? Surely not ;-)

Just seen Stephen Elliot on the bench for Hearts! He was a massive prospect when he was here, and I remember Keegan got a lot of stick for selling him at the time.
