West Brom away

Looks like Mancini will have a full squad to select from for the first time this season, for me, I would go with:- Hart, Boeteng, Kolo, Kompany, Kolorov, NDJ, Barry, Milner, Silva, Balotelli & Tevez. The bench would be Given, Richards, Lescott, Zabaletta, Johnson, Yaya & Adebyour.

Opinions please

What's Mario done to be included over Ade?

I agree, nuffink.

Good news for us is that Johan Olsson is injured. It's too bad they got that red card revoked, otherwise they would've had to play with a totally new centre back pair.

Not been Ade?

Couldn't see Yaya not starting if fit, plus there's no way he'll risk 3 up front. This is a game he can't lose rather than one he must win.

I agree, and this is where Mancio should be playing his usual formation of 10 players behind the ball, smother the opposition and get something from nothing.

That'd do me.

If Ade doesn't start it's a disgrace.

Right now i don't give a fuck who plays, i just want to see 100% effort and some justification about why i should care about this squad of players.

Mancini needs to put out our first choice team with some clear fucking attacking tactics, some width and a high level of effort

I'd go with that. Deffo Richards over Boateng at the mo.

Do you know Dub, I think I've been skulled by Mancini, I'd actually play both. Afterall, Carlos has always liked a strike partner.

If everyone is fit and available I would be amazed if it is not 4.5.1 with Tevez the 1.

The middle group most likely Yaya,Nigel,Barry,Silva and Milner. The tougher decison might be Zaba,Boateng or Micah at right back with Boateng probably getting the nod.

If that's Mancini's preferred approach he should go for it.Plenty of scope to change things if needed with AJ,Mario and Ade on the bench.

I'm with you Doug apart from; anyone but Boateng. What will Mancini's comedy selection be though? He's not going to put out the strongest or 2nd strongest team is he? There's got to be a bizarre twist in there somewhere surely?

Anybody who picks Mario over Ade is delusional imo.

If scoring 5 in 4 doesn't get yu a start, with our negative tactics and lack of spark anywhere else we may as well just bring Pearce back and ride out enough 0-0's to stay up.

I wouldn't be shocked no but it would still be a joke imo.

If Tevez is available then it's a choice between a player who has scored 5 goals in 4 games or someone who has missed the last two injured. Personally I would pick Ade as he has proved himself recently and I would have Tevez on the bench and give him the last half hour for match fitness. The derby is a different kettle of fish to West Brom and giving Tevez 90 minutes if he's not fully fit could be disasterous.

Or, as has been said, play both and fucking batter them.

I'd really like to see a run of games with De Jong protecting and then a roaming 3 behind Ade and Tevez.

If it was done with a decent combo of silk and steel it could be deadly.

Something like

De Jong
Milner....Silva...Barry
Tevez.............Ade.

I like the idea of that sort of team on paper but whether it would fall apart in reality is another question. Imo, in the long run, you'd want a world class Gerrard type figure in place of Barry & a reliable absolute top notch striker in place of Ade, then we're talking. In fact, imagine that line up with Gerrard & Torres from 2 seasons ago & you've got something close to a PL winning team.
