Won a league game without tevez scoring........I thought that thing didn't happen.

No doubt that stat will still be rolled out though with a minor tweak to make it still relevant

True, without Tevez playing today though I think it would have ended in a draw. Tevez is immense for us even when he doesn't score - he set up nearly every attack of ours today.

The important thing is that Tevez takes up deep lying positions which are hard to track because it then rleases space for Silva ...... and their interplay is also a joy to watch.

Its exactly how David Villa and David Silva use to play for Valencia, that interchanging, Villa/Tevez going deep or wide, and Silva playing a pass then burst fwd as the striker.

It makes great triangles and pretty play. Tevez and Silva are on the same wavelength now.

the dreaded "this".

said to the duvet "we look a totally different team with Tevez" and it really is true.

We just need Balotelli to become involved in the triangle and we can win something
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Tevez/Silva MAKE us, it's been obvious since their first friendly together (even though Silva only made a cameo appearance)

Isn't it amazing how different we are with Tevez even on a quiet day for him. Simply put he keeps the ball and makes smart runs even when his shooting or beating players at pace isn't as brilliant as usual.

The way he holds it up for someone his size is truly superhuman. I'd love to see some form of ball retention stats for strikers.
Tracking back is overrated.
