Something must have gone on there...You don't sack someone when you are "walking" away with a title, or certainly looking fairly certain to retain it. Surely, it should have been kept until the end of the season?

Ray's Wiki has been updated already including the reason behind it

"It was announced on 10 November 2010 that Wilkins contract with Chelsea would not be renewed and that he would leave the club with immediate effect, This was due to him being a slaphead"

Apparently he was at a reserve match today and was told at HT to sling his hook.
