Training Friday 12/11

They were all on show today and it was the same as on Wednesday night. Nothing happened!

Almost nothing anyway. The 11 that played wednesday went off to do some very light jogging and stretching whilst the rest did a few exercises and a bit of keep ball circle stuff. Then about 6 went inside ( Tevez,Silva ,Tourex2,Zaba,Barry) and the all that were left played a hand ball warm up game for a bit. Then the rest of Wednesday's team went inside while the remainder played a 7 a side game. That didn't last long either before they drifted in and 4 stayed for some shooting practice for 5 minutes, AJ,Mario,Kolarov and RSC.

Very low key indeed and indicative of the fact that with the frequency of games they don't need much heavy training at all.

Cheers Doug, hardly worth you going today.....bit like Wednesday.....

Lets hope they spend a bit of time working on tactics inside then. Physical training may not be needed but there is plenty for them to be working on. For me the passing is far to predictable and pedestrian most of the time, they need to be working on movement off the ball so that the man on the ball knows where to play it without having to check the man is there. The midfield and strike force need to be working on their understanding of each others patterns and if we are playing two or three up front that they dont all need to run towards the same place!

"Mancini training too light" shock horror!

I'm a bit surprised Tevez is around Doug, I really thought he looked to be carrying that injury he got against W Brom. Unless of course it was just a dead leg which will go day by day?

I have seen Tevez out training 3 times recently and he has done very little each time as he tries to regain fitness after the dead leg problem. He wasn't fully fit against WBA but was able to do enough to help massively to the win. Same against the scum but the team approach was different so we saw little of him but again he didn't seem close to full fitness. Hopefully another couple of days and we will see him closer again to being right.

Today it was very low key as they played so recently and I am sure a little bit about not risking injuries.I would certainly expect time being spent inside on tactical things and plans for Birmingham especially if it's close to the same 11. It would be very interesting to see the same 11 sent out with a completely different approach to the game.

Nothing on MJ today

Cheers DH as always. Any truth in the rumour that the lighter training sessions are a way to avoid issuing you with a pass?

Fairly sure the hope of getting " inside" is in the past now. After all the positive comments over a lenghty period I have now been told Roberto doesnt want anybody inside at all. That despite the fact that almost every day there is some body or bodies just standing close to the pitches they train on. Still never say never.

I have also been told they are working on something to stop anybody getting alongside the pitch nearest to the building complex. It was at one time thought to be a public walkway so how they will go about blocking the access to it I don't know. Beefy won't be able to climb his trees.

He was back in full training like three weeks ago so let's hope he is finally ready for a start (esp. since I've had him on fantasy football since Gameweek one and yet to get any return on my investment:P).

Cannot see any reason he has not been played yet, considering he's been in full training since last international break. Then again I was 100% sure he would start vs United so you never know...
