http://www.teamtalk.com/poll/results/734Apparently people consider De Jong to be same level bad boy as someone who has done jail, beaten team mates, beaten opposition players etc. For one lousy tackle? And probably that World Cup thing too. But still. Give me a fucking break. There are some proper muppets out there.

All part of the get at City " campaign". I expect Nigel's bookings/sendings off record in the prem is excellent compared to anyone put up against him.

Indeed. A bit of a joke considering Laurent Koscielny is not even in the vote but along with Cattermole has the joint worst red card record this season ... risible stuff

Henry & Cattermole less votes than DeJong? FFS.

Fucking amazing.
I reckon 90% of the people who now think that tackle was a shocker thought nothing of it at all on first viewing.

2 legs broke by September is some going - then there was the world cup incident and you find yourself tarnished - doesn't suprise me at all

The sort of people voting for Nige in that poll are the same type of people who would vote for Cheryl Cole as one of the most infuential people of the 20th-21st centuries.

Just shows what a character assassination job the press have done on De Jong.
Good job Joey punched someone over the weekend or DJ would be in the lead.
Thanks Joey.

the hate-deJong-bandwaggon has made me so fucking upset I can hardly talk about the subject without wanting to plant my studs in someone's chest. In Holland the media, and especially the fuck faces at Voetbal International, have talked him down, spread rumours and relaid blatant lies from the British gutter press at every chance they've gotten. The general public is not much better. Most of them haven't even seen the incident, but still have plenty of opinions about it. The ones who have (claimed to have) seen it are obviously blind. Had it been any other player for any other team, the only reaction would've been to feel pity for Ben Arfa.

Forget it lads, come the end of this season, Balotelli is going to be public enemy number 1. Not only is he supremely gifted, but the man really don't give a fuck.

Barton - De Jong - Henry - Cattermole. Possibility the least inspiring midfield line imaginable.
Second only to the one we have at the moment of course.
