Why don't Mancini take the shackles off and let us have a bloody good go at it. Maybe I'm being knee jerk after today's result but we have a more than a capable playing staff which will be added to in January to take on The Rags, The Arse and Chelsea.

I don't think Mancini understands you have to score to win a football match and that you have to attack at some point in order to score.

It's sure as hell wide open Andie and I think most fans would agree with your sentiment

It has always been my hope that we would be close enough to have a go at it this season.. i know it is reeled off all the time but it is a long season and anything can happen.

our away record is equal to Chelsea's at present, our home record different by the 3 draws.

In the thick of all this doom and gloom and pissedoffness by the way we are playing it is difficult to see that we
are still pretty close to the others.

As you say if we can step it up in the way we go for games we could make the diference between those draws and wins.

Mancini.. are you listening?

I would love us just to have a go but I just feel he is scared to death of falling outside of that 4th spot like last season. I'm not one for slagging players and managers off but he has the chance to possibly do something very special and he is letting fear get in the way.

You don't win Jack if your not willing to take some risks and have a go. Very very frustrating to watch!!

I'm amazed nobody's come out with a mind-numbingly tedious "I don't want us to play in the Championship" gag yet.

if we aim for the title, we'd be disappointed to get 4th, but at least we'd get it. Aim for 4th...

Yeah I fully agree again. Who would've thought after yesterdays disappointment that we'd be a point nearer to Chelsea at the end of the weekend? Yes it could and should've been 3 nearer but it feels slighly better today. I hope that the reaction from the fans yesterday has even a slight impact on Roberto in a positive way

Alternatively next weekend; Sunderland beat Everton, Bolton beat Newcastle, Spurs beat Arsenal and we lose to Fulham and we drop to 7th place.

Either way, November is crunch time already for Manchester City. We either push on and get out of this poor run of form (5 games and 5 points) and try to take the league to Chelsea, Arsenal and United or we continue on our current points trajectory and fight it out for Europa placings once again.

By the middle of December we'll know which target we'll end up fighting for.

We should be aiming to win the league. None of this "top four" stuff.
