About our shocking football...

I wonder what is going on via the forums of the teams below us?

They must be absolutely suicidal...

Or perhaps not...

What division?

I see decent debate with just a few stupid posts/threads being aimed to get under people's skin, nothing out of the ordinary. Makes for decent debate.

Havn't looked...but just wondering about for example...the Spurs forum...do you think they are bitching about Twitchy?

Yet as it stands we are 3 points ahead of them after the same amount of games played...despite this rough patch of form

it's not like the proper division like we had when the welsh wizard/clueless rag twat was in charge. now that was a laugh, this stuff is tame compared.

Oh, I see. It's not about division in the ranks but just another thread to make one.

Well done, you make me proud!

Can you remember how bitter the divisions were this time last year? This is a love-in.

What about the teams above us? When Arsenal have been through bad spells, there's been a fair percentage of fans complaining about Wenger, some calling for his head. We know what Ferguson went through before they won the league, in spite of doing much better than Bob is now. I bet the Chelsea forums aren't too happy right now.

I recon whatever Chelsea win, if you offered their fans Mourinho back at the end of of the season, they'd have him. Spurs fans usually have a go at Harry wheneber they lose & bood them off recently, in spite of being in the Chump's league. Liverpool fans gave Rafa a lot of leeway tbf, but only because he's won the Chump's Lg & was runner up 2 seasons ago. Villa fans often berated ONeil. None of these people can give us any lectures on patience.

Its all about expectations. If we hadnt spent 320 million and were lingering at the bottom of the league 3 clean sheets on the bounce would be delightful. The reality is we should be performing better.

No real division though, just the usual knee jerk stuff.

Chelsea - Different kettle of fish - Ancelotti won the double and has started with some blinders. This is merely a blipin their eyes.

Arsenal - Arse fans follow Arsene like little sheep and will only call for his head when they have a serious bad run, about the same as ours now.

United - Different kettle of fish again, he's won the lot but lately we have hear some dissenting voices due to the Rooney wrangles.

Spurs - Harry got them in CL and gives them exciting football to watch. They still whinge like bitches when it goes wrong though.

Dippers - Similar to us really. Roy was getting loads until they win 2 on the trot, they then lose at Stoke and the sky's falling in.

Villa - Never stop whinging and seriously like their booing. Always slating O'Neill and remember Agbonglahor getting real shit last year which reminded me of Ricki Edghill's shoeing by our crowd.

Everton - Who gives a fuck!

And Blackpool - Holloway - there is a God ;-)

To call the differences of opinion divisions is a bit much imo. Besides there are too many different perspectives of what if anything is 'the problem' to be a division.
The overall picture as far as i am concerned is one of a bit of a mess with no clear ideas of either where we are or what we need to do, some think we have had enough time to 'gel' others dont, some think 4th is good some think it lacks ambition, some think the football is unambitious, some think it is ok, some blame the manager, some blame the players, some think there is nothing wrong at all, some want entertainment, some want results.

As i say overall i dont think a clear idea has been expressed at all yet that sets out the picture of where we are, i would say that we are all confused and it shows.

like.

Thing is BBS is that last season EVERYONE said that it has to be fourth next season

Shit...I even put up a poll about what would you prefer? Silverware or 4th? And the majority wanted 4th FFS

Now it seems we have ideas about walking before we have learnt to crawl...4th is no longer good enough...we need the title now...seriously...some people are in cloud cuckoo land

I think we should aim for the title. I think it's a huge mistake aiming for 4th & it could cost us. I'm totally happy to finish 4th but I don't rate the top 3 teams at all & I think we should go for it & try to win every game, even if it means losing one or two, rather than looking at draws as 'decent results' because we're 3 points ahead of Bolton.

Very true, but on a manager point of view they've still got his back. The Wilkins sacking has confused them some and they've been a bit irate about that, but in general, they're still fully behind a manager who has won them the league and the FA Cup.

Your right IBH people did opt for 4th. But that is only the fans! I cant for a minut imagine that the club, Mancini, the staff and the players are thinking we are just going for 4th. They will be going for the best they can.. and at this stage that is the Title.
We could be 5pts off the top with 3 games to play and still get it.. so...

For the record i was hoping we could tilt for the title and i still am... that doesn't mean i am expecting it to flow into a bag like sand through a funnel and i am looking at this stage with a lot of patience and just see how we go along. I am with Mancini's view that if we can stay in touch while we are building and be close enough by the last 3rd of the season then we will have every chance of going for it... primarily because we will then quite likely be coming into our own as a team. As i have stated before i expect us to be the best team in the league by the final stages of the season!

You are just throwing in the title to alter the perception mate, 4th should be our fall-back don't you think? Does 4th guarantee continued CL football or just one foot in the door?

What happened to all this 'Winning Mentality' that everyone was going on about, have we now changed our minds and started thinking 'Oh well, as long as we scrape it'. Not long ago we were talking about aiming for the stars and that we had a realistic chance of making it above 4th. Now, we seem to be revising our chances with regard to our current form, making it an easier target to accomplish. Personally, and I'm sure Mancio is doing the same, I'd be aiming for the top and if we finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th I'd be disappointed accordingly.

Mancio: 'Right lads, you don't have to work 100% today as we're only aiming for 4th, that OK?'

Carlos: 'Sure Boss, no worries, I'll give Jose a ring later to arrange the paperwork'.

Mancio: 'What paperwork?'

Carlos: 'The paperwork to get me out of here, I came here to win, not to come 4th you daft Boot Licker!'.

Or words to that effect ;-)
