We are 6 points off the top of the league this evening. There is no doubt in my mind that City could win the league this year as not one other established team has clicked properley and are dropping points on a regular basis. The points tally for winning the league this season could be lower than ever before in the late 70s early 80s.

If Mancini can sort himself out and adopt some new tactics that can gain us 3 points for a match instead of 1 we have the strength in depth, quality and most importantly player experience to close out a title challenge. We have players who have won leagues and trophies, they know how to do it, so let them do it.

Can we win the league: Yes
Will we win the league: Probably not, and a golden opportunity lost.

We can indeed mate but we wont if we dont put our chances away,if we can keep strong at the back and sort out our attacking line then i can see us doing very well this season.

I am quietedly confident that we will give it a good shout - or be 5th

Im going with a very firm no, we dont have the manager for it, he plays way to defencive and come xmass we will see a clear gap between us and the top 3. At this rate I think holding on to 4th will be a difficult enough, and im not sure we will.

Unfortunately I've had to go for 'No' considering our current form and performances. Unless we start winning at home and getting points way in the very near future (tomorrow), then I can see the players losing their 'Winning Mentality'.

PS. This doesn't mean I don't think we can, I am firmly of the belief that we have the tools, we just need to utilise them properly.

after watching games slip away and tactics all over the place i had to say no, but if we start to click and with the other teams running out of luck we may have a chance

If this, if that. "If we get better, we have a shot!", haha. If Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal, Spurs & City continue dropping points Bolton can win the bloody league.

because i find it embarasing when people say we are going to win this win that beat x team 5-0 etc etc .people in the mess room/pub/facebook etc are doing it more and more and look like total dicks when we dont do it. we are clearly not and we are nowhere near winning the league the yet. maybe ive been watching city too long and dont let city get me carried away like some people do but if i could i would certainly bet that we wont be winning the league this year.

Think you're missing the point slightly of this topic. Our team can win the league this year due to the circumstances that have occured this season to the three big teams. No one is playing well at all.

Currently we aren't so can't win it either, but if we finally click as a team we can. At the start of the season very few city fans would of said we could win the league as Chelsea and United were too strong. 4 months into the season has proved that to be incorrect. Everyone is looking soft and beatable.

If our players and manager show some courage we can be there or thereabouts come May.
