Bob's going for the title.

He added: “I think we can play to win the title this year. “The season is very long and if we can recover our best players in a short time we have a chance. We are in a good position.”

“If we play for the title, maybe we can arrive in second or third place but if we play for fourth, the risk is that we’ll arrive in fifth like last year.

Nice one Bob, I'm with you. Perfect logic.

Best phone the disciples & tell them though, as they're a bit off message at the moment.

Given Mancini the time, I believe he'll deliver.

ffs let him have the whole season atleast, in fact i wouldn't mind giving him more time, even though not all pieces fall into place at once.

well bob the capitulation of chelsea is exactly the reason why we should have been attacking and winning games a few weeks back when you were describing them as run away title winners
now we're "going for the title" but don't have the points to back it up

sort it out bob

Just luring them into a false sense of security ready to pounce when they slip up ;)

Spot on, Leslie would never have been so off the pace with the fixtures we've had . . . ;)

I think they get feedback about the forums regularly don't they? There's quite a few of these curiously timed stories and quotes that appear every now and then.

Made me laugh that one. Only a few weeks ago he said the only way Spurs could qualify for the Champions League again is by winning it because the competition is so strong. It was obvious at the time that he just tried to take pressure off Spurs and pile it on City but to see such a u-turn now is still funny.

tottenham have a better chance of winning the league than man city. you wouldn't see a man city team come back from 2-0 in an away derby. we're shit and mancini is an idiot.

I did have a word last night with Mancini and told him to go for the title. Looks like he's finally agreeing with me ;-)

Altough I did bet some quids on City winning the title before the season started, I actually think City has no more than 10 % probabilities to win it.

A new playing philosophy, undertaken by new players who joinded the Club during or after the preseason is too much to expect to gel all together in time to rise a serious challange to Chelsea and Arsenal.
Third or second with some good luck is my guess.
Nonetheless how differently the manager should instill the right attititude to the Lads?

I'm preparred to bet my house next year will be the one, though.

Mate, I never EVER bet on City. EVER. ...and I never will. Too many heartbreaks, coupled with a heavy loss to the pocket and a massive dent to the pride have taught me that lesson.

Betting your house is crazy talk. City would have you living in a cardboard box before you could say "Big Issue?"
