well as ryan giggs has won player of the year with 12 appearances and the media have already been sucking off scholes this season, he's a shoe-in for player of the year.

it's unlikely someone who actually deserves the plaudits will actually get them.

Saved two certain goals today. Is playing the best form of his career. Just need him to pitch in with a few goals from corners and we have the complete centreback - and he's still so young too!

Kompany is very underrated throughout the football world but not by City fans, fuckin awesome player and should be captain IMO.

How we got him ahead of other clubs for that price, I have no idea. Best centre back at the club in recent times, imo far better than even the dunney monster and komps hasn't even hit his prime yet!

Kept saying that. Should be captain above tevez and kolo but was also surprised De jong got the arm band when tevez went off. Komps was outstanding and is so underated.

Hughes needs credit for buying de jong and komps.

Watching on tv I saw something brilliant last night.

When they showed the replay of Harts fuckup I saw komps, at a tine when 40,000 ppl had hearts in mouths, take a quick look over his shoulder to see where the nearest attacker was before cooly clearing off the line.

Well done to Hughes for signing him up..However i think Mancini has made him a better player.
Komps is priceless and i love the partnership with Kolo.Lescott partners Komps pretty good to and i hope we dont sell him.

I think that's an opinion shared by other fans as well, the amount I hear them rave on about him, guess he must be alright.

Thinking about ordering the away shirt with his name on. One of the best signings I can remember us making and probably the most complete defender I've seen in my time following City.

Pleased for him he's living up to the promise he showed at Anderlecht.
