Ok so if the unthinkable happens and he goes..who could the club get in that would make you feel better?

I'm struggling to think of anyone at the moment..Apache is not just about goals..it's his workrate too

Lets get Zlatan Ibrahimovic and pair him up with Mario, that would be one way of getting Balotelli focused!

Torres is the only man I'd say i would be equally as happy with. But he can't fucking go. He just cant

There just isn't anyone better than Tevez in the world. No one matches his workrate and determination.

Torres, Dzeko, Eto'o, Higuain, Benzema, etc. Not one of them is as good.
This is a serious problem

I don't think theres one player who can replace Tevez.

That said I bet its all horseshit.

Dzeko is top class, but if Tevez want's to leave, maybe we can swing a deal for Et'o and cash?? Hey I am just being pragmatic!!

Dzeko would be my choice, but he is no Tevez and it would involve retooling the entire attack in order to supply him with the right balls.

There is always the thought of promoting from within and making Mario the central player with Johnson outside him, however Mario would need to learn to do the opposite of what he did yesterday, constantly getting pulled and pushed out of position he was more left winger than striker.

He's been used to play that way because at Inter he always had a main man upfront, first Ibra then Milito, so he's not used to be the ocentre of the attack. It would take him time to adapt...but of course there's always Ade who could play there,if only Mancini played him...

anyway, I think very few strikers, if any, can match Tevez's workrate, especially those with his class. Our best bet would be to get someone who, albeit with much less workrate, would still bang the goals in. Torrres and Dzeko for me, maybe Aguero too.

I think it's part of Bob's plan to move him around. Imo he's just totally unreliable though. If he's the spearhead of the team & everything's going well all week, then on Saturday someone gives him Sugarpuffs rather than Frosties for breakfast, he'll just argue, sulk & play like a twat. We need a focal point we can rely on, then knobs like Balotelli can play off them.

The real shitter about Balo is; when he does eventually settle down, stop being a wanker & produce his best in a couple of seasons, he'll almost certainly fuck off to AC Milan. We're just doing the educating; producing a player for them.

IMHO there is no player available or even out there who could replace Tevez like for like. I think Tevez is pretty unique in the way he plays.

The only players of the same quality that I could think of:

David Villa
Torres (fit and on form)
maybe Dzeko

I don't think we need a Tevez clone, in fact someone bigger & better in the air would probably suit the team better. They have to score at a rate of a goal every game & a half & work really hard though. That's the tough bit.

An on form Torres and Dzeko would fit this aspect, not to sure about the working hard though.

it quite simply has to be drogba. for me the only player proven in the premiership who causes the same kind of problems as tevez and gets the goals. torres is the other name that jumps to mind, but lets be honest he was a one season wonder in the prem and the odd nice goal from him these days is not going to replace carlos tevez. everyone else is merely full of potential and unproven in england. too risky if we're relying on them from jan onwards.
