Love the fact that we as fans have now got fully behind Mancini. Must be music to his ears hearing his name roar round the Stadio Olimpico! I would love to see him here for Years to come.

Shame the song is sooooo unoriginal mind

it's very nice that Mancini is now serving up something that everyone CAN get behind.

Even those (me included) that harboured reservations towards him earlier in the season all WANTED to get behind him but there just wasn't a great deal worth cheering or singing his name, about.

Now that the team is starting to perform as we all believed they should have been capable it is a lot easier to vocally get behind him. If he can talk Tevez around and get him onside again I'd expect Mancini-fever to take hold

Exactly. It's not revolutionary, it's just a more positive attitude from more or less the same kind of line up; getting more support further forward. Also imo I hope he refrains from making random, gambling changes in key positions for important games. I think we saw enough mistakes even last night's stroll to prove once again what a stinker of a decision it was to put both Boateng & Boyata in the back 4 v Arsenal. Keep it sensible at the back & positive at the front.

Almost every game now we're at least trying to win & that's all most of us ask for. I can stand the odd dull performance, preferably away from home, if we go all out to win most games rather than worry about what the opposition may do. Recently he's been trying to produce exactly the kind of football we want to see. Good on him.

He is the boss and the players have come to realise that. He is highly regarded in Italy for his achievements and rightly so, this manager is hungry for success and is more than qualified and capable of realising his ambitions at City. I am well chuffed he is here and have never had any doubts that he can win us a trophy very soon. He took a little time to adjust to the English expectations of how the game should be played but he got there in the end once all his players were available to him, and alongside the Italian way of playing i'm positive it will bear fruit in the end.

I wouldn't say he has "got there" quite yet, but as others have said, I am finding it easier to support him that I did a few weeks ago. I suspect the reason for that has a lot to do with Silva and to a lesser extent Y Toure finally stepping up to a reasonable level of consistency in the midfield, in particular with the way they support the forward(s). Now, if only we could find a way to get Milner and Barry to play like internationals, Bobby would truly have it cracked

Whilst the majority of the midfield were off colour the whole team suffered and it appeared we had no driving force to win games. Silva & Toure seem to have grasped the nettle recently and realised what the PL is all about.

Good stuff at the moment.

The thing i love the most about him is how he is finally the manager to stop this long ball shite football that we are used to. We used to run out of ideas and someone would think oh well fuck it and just lump it up. Everything we do is so patient and its starting to pay off.

The test for Bob & for City will come in Prem Lg games where the oppo score 1st. If we can come back & win those without the defence falling apart then we're really in business. If we can't, we're not as good as we'd like to think.

I reckon only few retards could have had reservation about Your (Ted, Ant, Dub & alias) desire to be fully and emotionally behind him and the his Team.
What I only regret, my friend, is that You still pretend to buy that joke of "Bob being worried of what some oppositions may do".... While there is neither one shadow of doubt in my mind that Your very sophisticated football brain had already catched the bright idea the "he was scared of what the available personell could do".
Ciao amico.

Same thing Mancio; not having the confidence to take risks because you think the team may not be up to still means you're more worried about the opposition than confident in your own team.

True, without doubt. But why would the opposition score first? We are so good we won't let that happen ;)

Tbh, I don't think it's just a coincidence that we're getting a lead in these games because Bob's really got them pushing hard at the opposition straight away & often creating chances early on (not unlike the rags at their best). We even did it with the 2nd team last night & would have been 1 up very early if Jo hadn't jumped over the ball!

Mancini definitely didn't trust the team for the first few months hence the emphasis on caution and he was right to do so. Getting tonked early on whilst the new guys were getting up to speed would have done little for morale and had the media circling overhead given the goldfish bowl environment we operate in.

You could legitimately argue he left the brakes on a bit too long but the strategy was sound even if it did leave Mancini to take the brunt of the criticism and the fans displeasure at times. But then he's a big boy and paid to take the kickings on behalf of the team.

I don't think we are entirely there yet so personally I am in 'cautious optimism' mode. Oddly though the Tevez situation doesn't worry me. Its a pain in the arse and an unnecessary one but his agent is a cunt and (in my opinion) so is Tevez but no matter how it resolves itself I am relaxed.

I'm glad Mancini is sure to make it past the transfer window without getting axed unscrupiously by the management. I'm all for stability at the manager position (for at least one season).

That being said, while I am sold on his "social" skills (in dealing with unhappy players and the press), I am still often baffled by his substitution patterns. I'm also pessemistic about his ability to control Balo.. if he is even "tameable".

There is a perception that we are attacking more now, but I don't know if it is true. Last game, Yaya pretty much tore up the field taking the ball from the defensive half up to the box, on many occasions. More than I've seen him do in any game.. and it payed off. If it weren't for him, the complexion of that game would have been different. And despite the inconsistent brilliance from Balo, he is a walking card bomb who is as likely to get red carded as he is to score a brace.

For now, things are fantastic with regards to our position on the table. I hope Mancini can keep the pace without resorting to catenaccio for the rest of the season, because it won't work in the long-run.
