Definition of Delusional.

Postby The Man In Blue » Fri Dec 17, 2010 1:25 am

some arsenal fan on 606, had to share it, been laughing for ages:

There are lots of idiotic football fans who over look Walcott as Englands reply to the phenomenon that is Argentinas very own Messi... instead they opt for washed up Joe Cole who is at one of the worst clubs in the country.

Below are a few comparisons that can be made regarding Messi and Walcott:

Pace - Walcott is much faster.

Skill - Walcott is extremely skillful and beats defenders for fun, so does Messi. Tight one, but I'd say Messi just about edges this.

Potential - Messi has been overhyped, Walcott too, but he is so good that he was being overhyped at the age of 16/17 now (for his sake) the hypes died down so he can concentrate on becoming the worlds best footballer.

Accolades - Messi of course, however Arsenal are on the rise and are the only team that can match Barca in terms of quality. We are coming of age and sooner or later we will be dominating European football and Walcott will be taking all the ballon d'ors etc.

Effort - Messi is lazy, Walcott works back and has more hunger for the game. It isn't good that Messi has achieved so much at a young age, he is most likely to go down same path as Maradonna did. On the other hand Walcott like I said before can concentrate on his football and within next two years will be the best.

Shooting - Messi scores more at the moment so is better.

Crossing - Messi never crosses, as of late Walcott has improved this part of his game and I dont recall an English right winger crossing the ball as well since Beckham at Man Utd.

As you can see Walcott is the more well-rounded player, its just a matter of time before he and the rest of the gunners begin to dominate football. Messi is surrounded by players like Xavi, Iniesta etc who make him look good. Guarantee if you put Walcott into the Barcelona side he would also be branded the worlds best player.

On a related note, I was reading Messi's wiki page today for some reason and went down to his scoring stats- 27 goals so far this season and 12 assists and it's not even Christmas- made me fucking dizzy. That can't be right?!

His league record is 17 goals and 8 assists in 13 games. Factor in Champs League and I suppose it's possible.

I hope for his sanity that he is a WUM because if he's serious then he knows nothing of football, or has taken being delusional to the next level.

Imagine if he started crossing the ball? He'd be ace.

Is this person for real? We are all guilty of over-supporting ourbest players but this guy takes the biscuit. Not a single point was valid at all. Completely delusional on a par with Audley Harrison.

To be fair though Wooders, Messi's nowhere near as good as Theo at the David White method of 'twat it fifty yards past the fullback and race him for it before it trickles over the byline'.

Theo 1-0 Lionel.

Delusional doesn't do justice for this twat. I'm looking for a better word but can't come up with one now.
Now if he was comparing Messi with Nasri (on current form), then there would be somthing there to discuss, but Walcott !!!!
