Are those V's for us Peter?

Bit of a Bio:

Born: 10 October 1959 (51 years old)

Location: Long Buckby, Northants, England

Interests: Current affairs and Golf

He began refereeing in 1986, in local leagues. He was appointed to the assistant referees' lists of the Football League in 1993, and the Premier League in 1994.

Walton was promoted to the Football League List of referees in 1998, despite a reported comment from the former Wimbledon manager Joe Kinnear that he was "too thick to become a referee"

Appointed to National Referees list in 1998 and to the Select Group Referees list in 2003.

His first ever Premiership match in charge was the 4-3 home win by Wolverhampton Wanderers over Leicester City at Molineux on 25 October 2003

Walton is also the referees' representative within Prospect, the trades union which began speaking for Premier League referees as from February 2007

For most of the 2006-07 season, the caption writer on BBC's "Match of the Day" football programme had introduced Peter Walton as "Referee - Paul Walton" - a glaring error. He finally corrected the information for the 28 April 2007 edition.[14]

On 20 October 2007, the Match of the Day caption writer once again mistook Peter for Paul.[14]

Walton refereed the FA Community Shield between Manchester United and Portsmouth on Sunday 10 August 2008

Walton refereed Tottenham Hotspur's massive 9-1 victory over Wigan in the Premier league in November 2009.

Also he refereed Chelsea's 7-1 massive win over Aston Villa in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in April 2009.

Game's Refereed in last 10 year's:

Stoke 1 - 1 Man City 27-11-2010

Man City 0 - 2 Everton 24-03-2010

Man City 0 - 0 Liverpool 21-02-2010

Man City 2 - 3 Liverpool 05-10-2008

Man City 4 - 2 Bolton 15-12-2007

West Ham 0 - 2 Man City 11-08-2007

Man City 1 - 2 Fulham 29-04-2006

Man City 1 - 1 Charlton 07-01-2004

Man City 1 - 2 Arsenal 27-10-2004

Man City 2 - 0 Millwall 30-01-2002

Won 3 Drawn 3 Lost 4

Oh, and Stu Atwell as 4th official.

Everyone happy?

Let's take the ref out of the equation by kicking Everton's ass.
We owe them one.

I agree should be better take the ref out the equation... still have poor memory from last season's clash at Stoke, though. Was that the one of Paddy's senting off, wasn't it?

Owe them one, we owe 'em 6! They've won every game since 2007. Saying that, they are currently 6th from bottom, a full 14 points behind us. Although I'm sure Peter Walton won't try to have us off, he does seem to give some wierd decision's (some quite minor) and can change the course of the game.

I think you're talking about the Carling Cup game where Ade got sent off (not Walton), or could've been the game previous in the league where one of the Stoke players got sent off (Wiley was the ref, I think).

The game referred to there was this season where nobody got sent off.

Was at the last Stoke match away sat in with the Stoke fans, at the end of the game Walton was grinning to all the Stoke fans giving a big thumbs up almost celebrating with them!

He will have to prove to me that this wasn't bias.

Now't to do with your parent's, just your statement. The only stamping offence was that of Mario's at Brom, which I'm sure you know full well. The only time I remember Paddy being sent off was in the USA, but I'm sure that wasn't a stamp, it was an arm or something in one of the Inter players faces, and as you are Italian City supporter, I'm sure you would've known.

So, knowing all of the above, I can only assume that you are trying to play clever by asking the question in the 1st place, WUMming, which would be difficult for a not to English literate Italian, or you don't have a clue about Man City. Maybe all 3.

Either way, this non-Sherlock Holmes deduces that something is very wrong Dr Watson.

Oh, and Walton's a wanker - tried not to say it, just couldn't help it!

Lol... from Watson to Watson! Even I can catch it... :-)

No Your wrong there, Mate.
the parents was a joke, of course.
Generally speaking I take the WUM mood only if already stirred before.
I am pretty sure last season Vieira was sent off the first or second game he started after recovery from the injury he brought from Inter. I'll do my homework and revert. Feel free to laugh at me as wide as You like, no harm will be taken.
Well at least until my broken wont misunderstand....

Ha ha ha, good shout but that relates to when Paddy kicked one of their players in the nuts, but wasn't seen by the ref. He was given a retrospective 3 match ban the following week. Definately not sent off.

Still, the Ref's a knob-jockey, at least we can all agree on that. Or, is it as Kinear says, 'too thick to be a referee'?

Never understood why Walton gets more hate then any other ref tbh, he fucks up no more than anyone else as far I can see. I've met the bloke and can vouch for the fact he has no vendetta against City - and whilst we're at it he's a Northampton fan. Maybe if we ever get them in the cup and he refs the game we should be worried...

I still remember when this cunt sent off Zabaleta for that hard tackle against Xavi Diver Alonso during City- Liverpool. We were 2-1, then they won 3-2 at the COMS ... wake up mr Marewood, City can't win anything if we are treated like a Championship squad!!!

You say he's not biased becaused you've met him, but maybe you're biased for the exact same reason. Just a thought.

I'm not biased towards him - just not against him either. To put it bluntly I couldn't give a shit whether it's him or any other ref in charge. When Clattenburg sent Boyata off so many on here were very vocal about how anti-City he was - turns out he'd refereed 16 games involving City and we'd never lost a single one (until that one).

Well yeah... he had just done a very good job of hiding his anti-City bias before then. He's a devious fellow.
