Not surprised in the least....firstly because of this little outburst

"There are three possibilities for the club," the Inter manager said after his side defeated the Congolese side TP Mazembe 3-0 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

"One, 100 per cent support for the coach and buy four or five players to build a stronger team with competition among the players to be able to carry on winning matches and trophies.

"Two, carry on like this without a project, without planning, and go ahead with one person to blame for the whole season getting to May this way.

"The third is to speak to my agent and reach an agreement if there is not this support. Simple."

Secondly because he is a fucking appallingly bad manager.....and a tosspot

Bet Jose is chuckling his little Portuguese nuts off

I repeat what I've always said, shit manager who got lucky in one season with someone else's players.

Fate moves in mysterious ways. I bet he is reading an Italian phrase book right now!

I actually don't know if he is getting or will get it. Fact is that lot of gaffers had been sacked for acheiving much more than is doing this season. Inter Milan is still - by far - the best italian team in terms of quality and they are struggling to get a CL berth for next season. I don't mind if they have beaten an asian and an african side to win the WCC.

Nah, Inter will play safe. They'll appoint an Italian, one maybe with a connection to them, one who's been successful in Italy......

I agree that the outburst was only going to get him the bullet, but I also agree with him that Inter never really backed him, they never gave him the players he asked for in the summer, not even one, when for Mourinho not only they bought great players but they paid over the odds for Quaresma, who never did anything good at the club. All, in all, in this I stand with Benitez. He was not being given the right conditions to succeed, so he either forced the club to do so, or basically left his post, but by doing it so he forced the club to sack him, and thus he also gets the money of the rest of his contract.

As for him being a bad manager...he won two trophies out of three so far at Inter, not so bad after all, not to mention he also won the CL; how many "great" managers have done that? Lastly, about Mourinho...I don't think he gives a shit about what happens at Inter anymore, he's a mercenary and now he's only focused on Real.

Can you imagine if he goes back to Liverpool? It will be worse than the second coming of Keegan at Newcastle.

Edit- Just had a quick look at RAWK

If Rafa came back, in tandem with these owners, he will win the league within three years.

Great managers win championships with top teams.

Good managers get decent players to over perform.

Rafa does neither.

Confirmed. He's gone.

And the deluded lot want him back at Anfield who think he'll deliver top 4 again this season!

Can't blame them. Five titles on the trot and he's got them 13 points off the pace after 17 games.

Was surprised they took him in the first place.

To be fair he had to face an huge injury crisis, and had to field kids from the youth team in midfield for some games; no wonder he's lost points; still, so far he's won two out of three possible trophies for them this season, so you could also look at it this way and say it's not justified to sack him.

What really got him the bullet was him basically blackmailing the owner into buying him four players in January, right after he won the CWC.
