Adam Johnson's Booking Today

Must be the most ridiculous yellow card since Kevin Horlock was booked for 'aggressive walking'.

I though he'd get the card because it was the 3rd nibble at the bloke. On seeing the replay, it was a ludicrously bad call by yet another shit referee. Perhaps he'll review it. Don't wait up.

Balotelli's got to know he's got a target on his back though. It might seem outrageous to think he's being judged differently than other players, but his mouth and endless falling over isn't endearing him to the officiating profession. He's not doing himself any favors, and until he has a good run of some clean matches without diving, whining and talking shit then he won't get ANY call his way and everything will be thrown at him.

that's what it looks like to me at least. I don't think it's fair or reasonable, but it's what's happening, don't you think?

cheers

Silva's yellow was flimsy too from what I remember.

Agree with all that you say but he really didn't have a chance to do any of these things today before he was booked ! He was hardly on and first foul, bang, a yellow !!

Things are really against us at the moment. Penalty shouts just waved away bookings for nothing and then no protection for our players when the same happens to us. I would be looking at this very closely if I had a legal team the size of our great owners, there has to be more to it than just shit refs, its become far to often and clear for all to see.

I was in the pub with my Mrs and mates and said to them that we weren't gonna get anything from Foy apart from a few booking's. The Mrs, who just knows colours, said that the ref was atrocious and was letting the Geordies off for everything and just looking to have a go at ours.

Just goes to show that even the Non-Yorkie bunch can see how bias these twats are. Fuck off Foy; you're a twat, and you know you are, a twat, and you know you are......

That was more of a tavesty than Johnson's. Barton flies in with studs showing at waist height and clashes into Silva, Silva gets booked?? Foy is and was a knob all game.

Alright, Johnson's bookings was crap but Balotelli was hardly innocent at his. His reputation precedes him and the officials have him under the gun.

Interesting stuff today. After they helped us score 2 goals today which we took brilliantly they upped their game and I thought got very physical. Not necessarily dirty but fairly intimidating and close.

City had to stand tough and get a little physical back and from what I saw the ref didn't really understand all that was going on.Egged on by a typical home crowd and barcode players getting into the refs ear whenever they could I thought Foy was being intimidated himself. Some poor decisions a bad decision to book Silva when it was barton who was using the force.

The AJ one was bizarre and I have to think it was for kicking the ball away and nothing else ( even then only because Newcastle told him to. and then there was Mario. He seemed to do virtually nothing for his booking but it just shows how they seem to want to book him for anything and nothing. I know we will all recall how Shrek misses bookings because its him .I think it's the opposite way around for Mario so he has to be extra careful for a while.

Foy was awful today but Johnson got booked for kicking the ball away even though it was jobsworth.

Balotelli's was the mystery.

Imo Balotelli can only blame himself for that. What the fuck was that about anyway: Kick in their players' ankle, ref shows advantage used there (so foul was committed) and few seconds later again, from behind, kick to an ankle.

As he had just came onto the field I'm sure a small talk would've been a better option but I can see what Foy was thinking there too. (and that's completely without any case against Balo)
