33 Passes and GOAL!

Did I hear right at half time, I'm sure they said that we strung together 33 passes in the lead up to Balotelli's 2nd goal?

Either way, some of the football we are playing at the moment is a joy to behold.

It took players and fans alike some time to get used to the patient passing game and keeping possession before breaking forward but now that everybody seems to be buying into it I can't get enough of watching us play.

Awesome move. Played it around our back four and drew them out, then BAM, back of the net. This is the answer to the 'Our Home Form' problem.

I mentioned to the lad's whether the media will all be raving about it, or, like the last 25 pass move, it would be overlooked in favour of some Rag-Arse goal.

It was 43 passes in total, it was an absolute joy to watch. I think if Tevez had played today he could have wrapped up the golden boot

Imo we did not even hit anywhere near top gear today and still cruised it.Who are gonna win the league?

Spot on mate, it was so so easy and the lad's didn't even put a shift in. The only prblem for me was that once we went 3 up, we sailed it rather than going for another. The 2nd half was much the same and although I know we were saving ourselves, as a fan you always want more.

Bring on Holloway, he needs a proper mauling!

Johnson put a shift and a half in today, the poor lad was completely knackered by full time. Well done AJ.

Certainly rubber stamped who Englands best left [strike]sided[/strike] footed midfielder is today.

Ok smart-arse, maybe AJ did ;-) He worked really well, up and down the pitch, he's just not used to doing that much for 95 minutes and that's why he looked shattered.

Shame there's no MOTD tonight. We'll probably get our customary 2 minutes tomorrow night and that goal would take up most of the time if they were to show it all.

Just about to mention MoTD, the scums goal will get more coverage because of the flick that started the move than our 33/43 pass goal. We will be on first though unless chelsea or arse win by 3+

50 minutes of highlights coming up on SkySports2 in 5 minutes.

You turned over during the match? But not while watching Sky Sports news (see the "breaking news" thread).

LMAO

They only showed about 5 of the passes in the build up, which was disappointing.

I'm hoping for better coverage from the BBC. I'm sure they would devote an entire day's broadcasting to it had the scum scored such an amazing goal!

Well it's understandable; if they'd showed all of our build up they would have had to edit out some of the last 20 mins when Villa got a kick, or Delph's injury. Who wants to see a 30 pass goal when you can watch Villa knocking the ball sideways for 20 fucking minutes whilst 4-0 down?

Just watched it again on my dvr. It was 32 consecutive passes, Silva's shot, then Mario taps It in.

This is not the first time this has happened this season, I think this is a typical Mancini goal and probably way more satisfying to the boss than any 25 yard screamer from Zabs. Wasn't Yaya's goal against...ummm, Fulham(?) on the back of 28 passes?

Watched part of the Scum game and it has to be said, we are playing sooooooooooooooo much better than them at the moment. I'm actually starting to dare believe that we might win it.
