You godda laugh!

Kladze wrote:So it may as well be me.

MANCINI OUT if you please.

This is the most dreadful, boring football I've seen since Pearce.
In fact, given the money spent on what we all believe to be class players, it's worse.

Who's with me?

:(

feedthegreek wrote:agreed. the football is shocking/ the tactics bewildering . they play 10 behind thew ball and when we attack we still have 6 or 7 behind the ball.

svengali wrote:Im with you.

Im stunned at how shit it is. We just dont want to go forward. I don't blame Tevez for shooting on sight. Mancini should of gone when he failed at the end of last season.

Renato_CTID wrote:Disappointed twice: as a Citizen and of course as an Italian! Dear Mancio, it's time you leave Eastlands because you'll never understand what is Manchester City! Martin O'Neill, we're waiting for you as soon as possible!

xavi6 wrote:I'd fuck him off while we're still in fourth. The way things are going we'll be out of the top six by Christmas and the slide is on.

We can still salvage it now.

Florida Blue wrote:A talking monkey would be more creative... fuck off Roberto, I am over you.

Kladze wrote:Well let me tell you, I'd prefer to see Sam fucking Allardyce in charge right at this moment - that's how bad it's getting and you all need to wake up to it.

failsworthblue wrote:He has put all his eggs in one basket(Balotelli) and that is the problem.

viking the Odd wrote:I think right now, I'd take anybody rather than him.

Beefymcfc wrote:Apologies, I'm a City fan and the way Mancio turned us into a Div 2 team after the goal showed he asn't got to grips with the needs of the top flight; trying to bring it down to his level.

It won't work!

BlueMoonAwoken wrote:It makes me laugh when you talk about yaya toure, the guy has never been attacked minded in his life, he is a defensive midfelder who can actually play football.

Im sorry to say it but we have bought too many midfield players that are defensive minded, play them all together and you willl get a boring game.

The ultimate in shit stirring, quoting old posts.

I have never and still don't understand people spending their own time trawling back through old posts on an internet message board to have the pleasure of saying I told you so.

I don't see where he has actually made a point of saying 'I told you so!'
I think it's more of a general showing of how spoilt we've become over the last few years and how we should be more patient with the "project" we've going through.

That said, I always said Micah would come good and his hatrick today showed just that!

I think everyone says things in the heat of a loss/ win. Fact is messageboards are a place to get reactionary. Today's heroes could be shot down by the same people next week. I'm not saying it's right, but it's how it is.

Mancini frustrates the hell out of me. I am still of the same opinion, today was a good day :-)

My opinion hasn't changed Lee and I think that most on here considered that given time Mancini would eventually be successful.
Many of us had similar thoughts about Hughes but he wasn't given that time. Maybe had he been allowed to develop his squad with a similar amount of money, someone may have been adding yours and Antti's quotes to a similar thread and having a chuckle at you mate.
Just as I wasn't overly devastated after the Everton game, I'm not overly triumphal tonight. The Villa team we beat is a very poor one which seems to be imploding. There will be bigger tests for us. Happy with the win...ready for the next challenge....Bring on Blackpool and Arsenal.

Depends how precious you are I suppose.

I'd like to think most people have a sense of humour and can laugh at silly things they have said in the past. I tried to find a derogatory quote of my own to quote but couldn't.. but I'm sure there are some out there.

It's funny and a bit of fun.

Why get so emotional about a forum?.

Well it's not really upset me as even though I'm sure you could find some I'm not there. I do wonder how you or anyone else for that matter manages to go back through and find these pearls of wisdom.

Seems a bit of a boring waste of time to me, but to each their own.

It was really very easy and took less than 5 minutes.

Looks like it was 5 minutes well spent to me!

Now't wrong with that at all and I hope that it gave Mancio a good fuckin' kick up the arse; he reads my post's you know (if that was mine)!

Nice thread KK, I like it ;-)

A lot of what was written a few months ago was correct. We were playing some of the most boring defensive football I have ever seen. When Mancini was trying to sort the defence, his methods were to add more defensive midfielders and hope Tevez does something by himself. So it's a bit unfair to compare old comments to how we play now.

Now we play more attacking and it's better to watch, but at the same time today was the first clean sheet in the PL in ages

Edit: ( damn Ipads !)

Hobsbawm would love it.

I agree with you kk, how else will we learn if we don't look back accurately in history and assess all the information available to us .
