I don't think it's a pisstake the city slurs seem genuine.......

It’s that slight difference between scoring a goal in the last minute, and going to sleep in the last minute, that is the mark of champions.

Statistics about being top at christmas are comforting, but Citeh have us in their crosshairs. Remember, they were top of the table for a few hours today, too. How many of our ageing squad would get on man sh*tty’s team sheet? Rooney, maybe – back when he could score. Berbatov, probably.

With city’s wholesale squad changes, it was always a case of if they could gel in time to mount a serious challenge. It looks like they could, and they will.

Call me a glory hunter if you like, but I didn’t choose utd over city to be on the losing end. But that’s the way I feel the balance of power is tipping. City fans are getting all the joy of success, and they’re not even that interested in it. Being a bunch of losers is thier raison d’etre.

Maybe the two sets of fans should swap teams, so citeh’s fans can continue to follow a bunch of bankrupt losers.

This statement just proves where the scum have got all their fans from over the years. Not real supporters, just pure glory hunters. You don't choose a football club. It's in your blood from birth. We have been fortunate to have bben born blue and regardless of succes or failure we will always be here. Their banner proclaiming 35 years is an indication of their admiration of our loyal support imo.

True; when I was a kid, i was a Roma supporter; then, my uncle who is an AC Milan supporter, tried swaying me to support Milan, and thanks to them always being on the telly winning European cups, I kind of did start to support them, but I never stopped supporting Roma, and eventually I reverted back to my first love; you could say, "then what are you doing on a Man City board, proclaiming you're a City fan?". That is different; City grew on me, I first neared myself to the club in the Eriksson season because of my dislike for United, but then the more I got to know the club the more I started feeling it part of myself, to the point that now I can't think of stopping supporting City, just as I can't stop supporting Roma. Both clubs are in my heart, and I have to say that they do have some similarities between them, although City has known much harder times in its recent history (but also more glorious ones back in the years).

I made my own choice. My dad used to sell programmes at the swamp when he was a kid but never really gave the impression he gave a toss about football. He was more of a Salford rugby fan and used to take me watching them. When I started following football in the mid 70's both teams were of similar standing in the game but I preferred blue to red so I supported City and wanted their kit. Has stuck with me since. Used to go City home and away on Sat, Salford on Sunday. I choose to follow the games mostly on-line these days because the Wife works shifts and we have a 3 year old daughter that i'd rather spend time with than using up a day going to the games. My old man now says he's always supported Nited but just uses it for a bit of banter. I'm sure deep down he's happy that City are doing well because of all the crap i've been through over the years.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

D'yer know, I couldn't give 2 fucls what the rags think about us. I have never known a rag intelligent enough to make much sense and treat them all as a sort of sub species of humanity. Most think they invented football in the 1990s and that they have some divine right to be successful. What a shock they are in for in the near future.

I do find it amusing that they seem to be in a constant state of civil war with their own club and I love the sweet smell of fear that emanates from the swamp these days. The fact that they know so little of their self centred, selfish, mean minded heritage, that they are clueless, that without City's assistance over the years they would probably not even exist and the fact that their club's true heritage is one of financial and moral bankruptcy...makes it even more entertaining when they are told.

FUCK 'EM...RAG BASTARDS!!!

i chose a football club call City about 6 years ago or so...and a lot of other fans of football will "choose" City to follow now. Some already are here in the States. It's inevitable. And perfectly ok. It's our duty to make sure they don't end up like typical gloryhunting "Big 4" fans outside of the UK...i spent a lot of time talking to Americans about City. And a few have professed that they look for them on TV and are really into our team this season.

It's happening...embrace it. Not being "born blue" doesn't make you less of one. I promise.

Paddy,
Whilst I gladly admit to being a senile old fart mate, I can confirm that I did read the thread and fully understood it's implications.

Would you seek to deny an old man (senile or otherwise) the chance to stick his tuppence worth of morosity at those retarded rag twats? I don't have that many pleasures these days Paddy (the wrists aren't what they used to be), as you will find yourself in a few short years. Retaining the ability to chuck shite at the rags isn't a lot to ask...is it?

Yer a selfish frog git!!!!

Just to add my two cents...not that you don't have the right to take a pop in your twilight years Old Man 68, but i have three close friends who are in their late 50s who have been Rag fans since their youth...and they know footy and are not total assclowns. They are out there...everyone in Manc i'm sure must know some folks like that. It isn't all foreigners eating prawn sammiches, unfortunately.

Of course, much like not every City fan is from Manchester obviously. However even the born and bred Manchester based fans of theirs can have the same arrogant attitude, my mate, for example, was born to a family of blues, he supports United but you only ever hear about football from him when united win/city lose, which is becoming less and less frequent these days.

Doomie,
I have never had a major problem with new fans, and where they hail from. The Important thing is what is in their heart. I would use Antti as a great example of this. A Finn who is every bit as passionate and emotional as any true blood Manc. If City attract a whole new global generation in the near future, i will be happy to celebrate it...as long as they care about City and as long as they feel committed to the club through thick and thin...I realise this is a bit idealistic though.

i care about City and am committed through the thick and the thin-ish...as long as we fuclin win something this season. I've been patient for more than 5 years...i am American after all. Trophy for us this season or i'm following West Ham in the Championship next season and starting this carousel all over again.

Walmai, could you use one slightly cynical, gently worn but committed gloryhunting American fan? I buy lots of shirts.
