0-0 away at Arsenal would be a good result or a disgrace?

Seeing as how our lads were bizarrely (IMHO) slated for stifling Arsenal into a 0-0 draw at Emirates toward the end of last season, do people think that would be a good result next week? Or a disgrace again?
Personally I think we will/should follow our normal tactics of stopping the opposition, whilst we are now better equipped to counter than before and maybe win it. But if it is 0-0, I would regard that as a good result in current circumstances.

I'd take it..though it will be interesting to see how this one pans out with 11 City players on the pitch

Completely agree. Fuck the press and fuck the fickle fans who would no doubt argue that Arsenal were there for thr taking. If we get a point there then it will be an extremely valuble point and could possibly make all the difference come the end of the season.
That said, I think we'll go there and win, probably using the very same tactics.

We can win it, so we should try; of course, a 0-0 is better than a loss, but I feel confident that we will beat them.

I'd take that result right now.

It would be a great shame if we set out for a goalless draw against Arsenal like we did last year. BUT if we go for the win and end up with that draw then that's fine.

What DH said. Playing for a draw is always a risky strategy and with our away form we should just go for it.

I'd deffo take a 0-0 atm. I wasn't happy with the way we played last year, cos I think Arsenal were very beatable then. Now they are in better form and I do fear them a bit.

Last year we played an injury hit, disjointed, low in confidence Arsenal who were there for the taking. This season we'll be playing a confident, full strength Arsenal who are thinking they're going to win the league. No comparison imo.
We shouldn't play for a draw, as we'll probably lose or at least go behind if we do. Be a bit more careful of course but go there to win. By all means, play on the break but do it with attitude; get players storming forward like the rags did last season there & West Brom did this season.
If we do that & lose or draw I won't complain.

They've already lost at home to WBA, Newcastle and Spuds. Nothing to fear.

Amazing team as an attacking force but are woeful defensively. Playing for a draw is absolutely the wrong way to go, we need to get at them from the off and pin sagna and clichy back in their own half.

It won't be 0-0. An Arsenal supporter I watch matches with is worried about how they defend, and rightly so, and City have too much going forward there to be no goals. With Tevez top scorer, Balotelli smiling, Silva doing his magic, Yaya's shooting power, Kolarov due a goal, and Dzeko coming off the bench, City are going to score. If it's going to be a draw then 2-2 or higher is more likely than 0-0.

I'd take a point against any of the top 4 provided we dont drop as many against lower teams, but we have let too many go already so we need to make it up somewhere.

I thought it was good result then and I'd take it again. I thought critism was bizarre to say the least as well.

It wasnt bizarre at all.
We needed to win last season as was proven by the results that followed, they were also in the shit at the time and we were playing well.
This time round its different, there in the best form theyve been in years, a draw will allow us not lose ground on them so id take a draw right now.

Bollocks.
Draw at Arsenal was good result as long as we squeezed results against Villa and Spurs. We lost to Spurs and that was that. Hanging the outcome of your season on win at Arsenal was ridiculous. Arsenal had six wins and draw before they lost their away derby and to Wigan in bizarre fashion. Unless you mean that losing and drawing with Barcelona was indicator how low they had slumped?
Crying about draw at Arsenal was ridiculous, childish and bizarre.

Shall depend on both sides contingencies at the time and during the match.
Though I only miss a big senior reaction (and acheivement) adversus a very bad start when playing a dirty solid side (say not Villa or Fulham), in order to change my mind about the seasonal potential.
Still I don't miss the point Ted and most are rising: now - senior or evolved junior we may be nowadays - we are already the BEST TEAM of the League, so that it must happen something very adverse for not winning an pivotal match.

I'd take a draw in all three away games against Rags, Chelsea and Arsenal, though I wish we could play Chelsea instead of Arse next week. That said, I don't think we should play for a draw anymore than we do against other teams when we're away, the kind of set-up we had against Newcastle will do fine, just can't afford to lose concentration like we did when they scored or we'll go home empty- handed

Who was crying?
We didnt try to win the game, if we had of tried to win game and ended with draw no one would of complained, an arsenal team with nothing(or relatively nothing) to play for missing several big players(campbell and Silvestre was there centrback pairings along with fabianski in goal, no fabregas or arsehavin) was always going to be an easier match than a home match against spurs who were flying. We didnt even have a shot of note in the game.
Heres the match report if you fancy a sleep
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 632764.stmSo no it wasnt a good result given the circumstances and yes given the circumstances now it would be a good result when we play them in a couple of weeks.
