Squad Changes??

How do you think we'll look by the end of the transfer window?? Who goes? Who arrives? How
aggressive will we be in January acquiring new talent??

Dzeko hopefully, or a caretaker of his kit until summer.
Come summer I'd love we will win the bid for David Luiz, too.
We won't need anyone more to boss the League and decently progress the CL, next season.

edit: we will need a decent backup to Joe, too. If the bollox about a Shay move to AS Roma are true I will be very satisfied to have Julio Sergio at the swap.

Our front line is the most obvious area of change - at least one in, and maybe a couple out (though our generous wages are hampering us in the exit department). Personally I'm concerned over Shay, I want him to stay but he hasn't had many matches and wont be content to survive on scraps for the rest of the season.

Assuming we do get Dzeko & Tevez is definitely staying, I'd like us to have backup for Silva.

I don't think we will be looking much further than Dzeko, and that the outgoing's will be the main target. We won't be holding out for huge amounts for the fringe players, where usually in the January window clubs hold out for top money. Whoever gets our cast-offs will be getting very good players at half the price.

To be more in keeping with the thread (having read it properly!) I think we'll get Dzeko & TRY to move out RSC, Ade, SWP & Bridge. Whether they'll find buyers I don't know. If all of them go, I'd expect perhaps one more signing, maybe another midfielder + a keeper if we have to let Shay go as well.

Possibly but going on what Doug says I'm not sure he'll be ready this season.

I have yet to see a footballer who has shown next to nothing (like Assulin) who has such a reputation
at a young age. But is he real factor for the team this year?

Most Barca fans tell me he was a hot commodity until he was injured and past up by his Academy teammates.
If so, he seems more likely to be put out on loan or in our own Academy squad.

Don't get me wrong, I like what I have seen from him in various internet videos, but there plenty of
wonder kids who arrive with a flourish and are never heard from again.

I just think for some actual return on our investment before including him in our future.

I think we seriously need a player to back up and if necessary, rotate with big Nige. Said a couple of weeks ago that due to the nature of his game and his so called 'reputation,' he is likely to pick up a few yellows and get a suspension, or be unavailable due to another reason which I won't say for fear of cursing the lad.

I don't feel Vieira has the ability to have the same influnce on our team as Nige does, and despite Gaz Barry's good recent form, and Zabaleta's insanely good peformances, I do think we should bring in a specialist, but I'm not so sure there is anyone of the required calibre available, or prepared to play in a team that is regularly rotated.

What are your thoughts? Any suggestions?
