The ugly thread again?

Bloody hell, 2 hours after the final whistle, I make it down the M6 and home...toll road was empty!
OK, not quite ugly because if god had perhaps taken 3 of his gazillion chances, ti would have been a trouncing. The better side won, clean sheet and 3 points whilst not at our best. Champions do that. Ahem!
I am going to leave out comments on Boateng and Kolarov, I have no words to describe them at the moment. Well, I have, but I don't want to be my usual sceptical self. Bottle of vino required and thanks again City for the points. On we go...

Presumed this was about the neviler not being sent off.
A good win and a decent English style game. Could have been about 6-5 if anyone had had their shooting (or standing up) boots on. Considering the chances, it's ironic it took a deflection for the goal.
At the end of the season, there's only a column for wins, not how nice they looked. The rags haven't played well yet and look where they are

The ugly thread!!! Don't understand at all.In a season of 38 league games there are bound to be some where it doesnt all go right in front of goal and all we can hope for is a clean sheet and a scruffy goal.
Job done.

History shows that the Xmas period is often a time of silly results. Be thankful we seem to have got through without any slips.
I think it's important to remember that when we were hovering around midtable, with little chance of winning trophies, performance was our only measure of success. At pesent we are in the chasing pack for the league title. We now have a different way to measure our success.

We weren't quite on our game, but we deserved the win
Little bit worried about Silva. Got a knock on the knee, and walked off so hopefully just precautionary?
With regards to the fullbacks we should give them time. Kolo, and Lescott got stick in their 1st season, but are now playing really well.
Good to win and keep a clean sheet when we aren't playing at 100%

One hat trick, two clean sheets, three wins in a week, four goals to nil being our best result of the season - I feel like I'm in a Christmas carol - where's the pear tree? (I'll have to make do with pear cider instead)
I LOVE UGLY!

No. Never. No nay never no more.
Doug, totally agree. Happy with the points. That is a game that we lose in normal cityland. But now we are different.

On reflection Doug and having watched ff, this was a better game than I saw, actually being there. I think my frustration is because we look so threatening, if we don't batter everyone at home, I get pissed off. Fact is, it was a really entertaining game and we should really have won by, what, 4-1? God just had an off day and he is entitled to as he is so reliable and fabulous on most other days. That pen stunk though. I think he decided to go that side as he was worried that 'keepers had sussed that he goes down the middle or to their left. Pulling it to his left, as he did, is much more difficult, same for a left footer pulling to his right. I think that makes sense. If he strikes it clean and hard to his right, 'keepers can't get it without the best save ever. Just whack it Carlitos, whack it!

Not this shit again, since when did God put in a transfer request? And haven't you learnt your lessons from calling Elano God?
