Was interested in ballotelli today, I didn't want to say anything but apparantly he faked a knee injury so he could go out new years eve and he was with Mancini's son on Friday night. Might be bollocks and dont wanna feed the press, but he's a cock if true, despite his recent interviews that have made him grow on me.

Didn't need them though as they trained on the open pitch.Everybody out except Kolarov and Silva I think but the good news on Silva is that he isn't ruled out of Wednesday's game. So he might not play but it doesn't sound as bad as I feared. Balotelli was involved in all the early stuff but missed the latter part of the training as did Yaya.
Nothing special in today's work but one fan new to the training said they seemed to be in good spirits as a group. Quite right too.Without being over the top they just seemed to be getting on together, mixing well. Then they finished with a game and the competitiveness showed itself very quickly. Stand outs for me in this were AJ who scored 2 really nice goals and just looked confident( even though he did miss a sitter.) Michael Johnson too. Not that he did anything really special but he just fitted in well in a central role. Ade was as up for it as I have seen him for a while ( I wonder why) Vinnie defending really well and moaning like hell with the officials on occasion.

Thanks Mr H, nice report, as ever.
Given the possibility/probability that David Silva will miss the Arsenal game, were any training routines tried which might suggest AJ would be filling in the playmaker role ??

It looked like, given the weakness at the center of the Arse defence,Richards was going to play up top with Tevez dropping into the hole.
