According to Arsene Whinger the only way we will get an idea of who are the true champions is if all clubs worked on the same budget.

"The real, real true test would be to give 100 million pounds to all the 20 clubs in the Premier League and say 'let's go'," Wenger, who last won a trophy in 2005, told reporters on Tuesday as third-placed Arsenal prepare to host second-placed Man City on Wednesday.

And all clubs would have to have equally large and modern stadia, charging the exact same amount for tickets, pies and merchandise. They should also, preferably, all be situated in identical cities and be targeting the same demographical groups.

And this is what most choose to ignore with the City situation. People compared us to Chelsea but they had a far better squad and had actually a team winning and challenging for trophys where we were a bit shit and a middle of the prem team. We had to spend so much so soon to get on a somewhat even keel but people will turn a blind eye to that fact.

Arsenal went millions in debt in order to build a stadium with more corporate seats than an Emirates Airline fleet, to increase their revenue, and yet they now want us all on an equal footing. The hypocrisy is so rife its unreal.

They should means test every club in relation to their 25 man squad and then even things out amongst the have nots, with the richer clubs giving to the poor. A sort of socialist football system. Then, when the Arseman sees he's actually very well off he should shut the fuck up whinging.

Seriously, the fact of the matter is that Arsene Wenger has a philosophy on how to run a football club. Unfortunately for him, he chose to manage in the Premier League which appears to be poles apart from his own stance on finance and development. The simple fact remains that the more money you have at your disposal, the more successful you will be. He chooses not to spend and is therefore less successful than those that do.
The trouble for him now is that there are four clubs who are all spending more than Arsenal which means there's a credible threat that they could finish outside the top four. If that were to happen then he would fully understand just how privilidged Arsenal have actually been to have Champions League money every season whilst the rest of the league does without. If this were to happen then he may come to fully understand what it's like to be a 'have not' club and know exactly where the unfairness in our football league really lies, though I'm sure he already knows this but chooses not to say.

If he wants it on an even keel, then starting now, every team that played in the Champion's League since it became possible for others than just the Champions to qualify, should go for 13 years with no income from said tournament, whilst every other team in the Premier league is given the average amount made by those teams, each year, for the next thirteen years.

imo the only way you could get to a level playing field is to have a wage cap. This would have to be implemented right across the world though as you would just see all our talent moving abroad and the Prem would become drastically shite. Eventually you would end up with mostly English/British players at most clubs as it wouldn't be worth foreign players moving across Europe to ply their trade for the same money as their counterparts in England.

Not a chance of it ever happening though.

Trouble is his opinion's are so skewed by his Arsenal bias. Part of the winning mentality you have to adopt as part of a club I suppose.

Imo Arsene Wenger puts out sides that play fantastic attacking football who can turn over any team in the world on their day.

Also imo, the only reason he ever won a single title at Arsenal was because George Graham & Don Howe spent years building the best defense in the country & he reaped the rewards of their work, building an attack on top of it. Now the effects of that have worn off & we're left with his defence, he hasn't got a fucking clue what to do about it, so imo, needs to sign ready made top defenders.

Therefore, I very much doubt he'll solve it without spending plenty of filthy money, so even in the unlikely event they win the league, it'll be short lived & they'll be back to the drawing board until he either changes his tune & spends big or fucks off.
