Could be heading for a Premier League-debut.

Burnley wanted to keep John Guidetti on loan, but the club now writes on their homepage that Manchester City have called back the swede.

The 18 year old told Aftonbladet last night that City have problems on the attacking side, and that Guidetti therefore might get a chance with the first team now.

- I had enough class for the Carling Cup and the Championship, so why not the Premier League? The difference isn't that far. I dont doubt [myself], said Guidetti to Sportbladet yesterday.

Burnley have been very satisfied with John Guidetti and wanted to keep the swede. But City have now called back the swede after just one month in the championship.

Back to City

Burnley have written on their homepage that John Guidetti have been called back by Manchester City.

"The Swedish U21 national football player returns to his club".

The championship club talked publically last night that they hoped to keep the swede, as late as last night. But it is uncertain wether the negociations with City is completely settled.

"They have had problems"

Guidetti told Sportbladet yesterday that he was openminded for a chance to stay at Burnley, but that City have said that they have problems on the attacking side.

- I will talk with City and see if they want to release me. They have had problems with their attackers.

Are you up to Premier League class?

- I think so. I just need a chance. I had enough class for the Carling cup and the championship. So why not the Premier League? The difference isn't that far. I don't doubt [myself].

So this is how it is. Ade and RSC is leaving. Won't miss either. Dzeko is not signed as per yet. So bring John back.

In the run up to the transfer window a few here were discussing the need to bring in two Strikers for Ade and RSC. There was some consensus on one top class and one decent kid as the way to go. Maybe City feel the same way and are ready to give the lad a chance rather than go and buy another kid and still have to see if he can cut it. by Summer we will know a bit more about his capacity to survive top flight games perhaps and can then make a decision.
Meanwhile Dzeko, Balotelli, Tevez, Jo and Guidetti will have to do.
