I wonder what happened to one of the best ever City sites?
www.Purelymancity.com was a fantastic site that had brilliant articles and its gone?
Anyone know anything?

If it wasn't for that blog I wouldn't've joined here.
But not to put people off it was great. He didn't seem to update it in years though.

Hi
I thought this was a fantastic site as well and sent an email to the administrator of the site on 14/07/2009 as I wondered what had happened with the site and got this reply below.
"Yes, I'm going to relaunch the site next month.
Unfortunately other commitments left me unable to update the site for most of last season. I've also been working on a series of books about City and the first one is due to be published later this year.
I'll be spending the whole of next season regularly updating the site and have a whole load of new articles waiting to be published, including some newly-researched material about the club's history.
Thanks for hanging on in there, and I hope you enjoy what's coming up. I'll email you when I know the exact date of the relaunch."
The administrator was Andrew Keenan
Not sure what happened as he didn't relaunch the site plus I would have been interested to read the stuff on the clubs history

I really liked purelymancity and used to read it a lot. It's been inactive for a long time now, though. Too bad. I miss it.

I never ventured there, so can only accept others' comments about its quality.
I do find it sad though when valued City sites disappear. The City stats site has not been updated since the death of its founder and I think that site is far too valuable a place to be allowed to crumble.

Thanks for the good news, Cochise, and welcome to the site.
It was a superb site, though from the email quoted above, it looks like it will be again. Excellent. I look forward to the new content. If it is anything like it used to be, it will be thoroughly researched and very well-written.

Where is the good news? He sent the email 18 months ago and nothing happened.

Hey John you can still get a view of it as the blog is still there. Google Purelymancity or heres a link to the blog as you will see from the articles ( the last blog) it was when Frank had just been bought out. Some unique stuff on here from what you find on other sites
