Hart baffled by resentment

Manchester City keeper Joe Hart is surprised some football fans have turned against the club simply because of the funds they have at their disposal.

The Eastlands outfit have become the world's richest club following Sheikh Mansour's takeover in 2008.

They have splashed out an obscene amount of money strengthening their squad and manager Roberto Mancini now has an extremely talented bunch of individuals at his disposal.

That group was strengthened this week following the capture of Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko, a striker who is regarded as one of Europe's finest.

Hart is surprised to see the club attracting criticism due to their finances as there is nothing in the rule book stipulating how much cash you can or cannot spend during transfer windows.

"I don't understand why there is resentment," explained Hart.

"We have come in with a lot of money but I don't remember reading in the rule book at the start of the season that you are not allowed to have money.

"I don't understand what we are doing wrong. We're not unsettling any other clubs. We're minding our own business.

"I don't think it's got anything to do with our success because we haven't been successful yet.

"Everyone has always got to see someone as the villain and I suppose we are at the moment."

Don't worry, once you get on the pitch, 'resentment' has nothing to do with it!!
