Is that it transfer wise?

Postby Wooders » Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:10 am

Is Dzeko our last/only signing this window?
According to mancini he "thinks so" (vague as ever booby manc)

I would like to see us try to arrange a swap loan deal with Real Madrid for Kaka/Adebayor

and obviously fringe players like RSC and Bridge will likely get shown the door

so are we done - or do any of you ITK's know otherwise ?

I think it will be clear out time for the rest of the month but if a deal suddenly comes up thats too good to not pursue, then we will (I'm also thinking the Ade/Kaka and Torres deals)

I think we may be done for "ins" with one more max, if needed by an injury.

What will happen is at least 3-4 moved on - Bridge, SWP, Santa Snooze and Adebayor the prime suspects.

GK if Given gets his move
DF most likely
AM possible but more likely in summer
ST if Ade, RSC leave and if Bob disappointed in Jo. He knows best ;)

Not claiming ITK just my opinion.

Do you believe that there is any possibility of this happening? We are not interested in Adebayor, apparently it's all been transfer gossip.

As it stands I don't think anymore will come in until summer. If we were to ship out RSC, Ade, SWP, Given & Bridge though, I'd be very surprised if we didn't sign at least a couple of youngsters or loan a couple of veterans, just to fill the squad places. We still have a lot of time to go in the transfer window though.

I'd really like some clarification of what's happening with Adebayor. If he's staying, we should play him quite a lot imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if we landed one or two youngsters.. and/or a veteran as Ted says.

By the way MJ is playing tonight for the EDS v Rochdale. Could be live on the OS too.

I personally think we are done.

All we needed was a top quality striker and we got him early on. No point spending for spendings sake after all.

At the moment, if recent months are anything to go by, if we get a couple of injuries; Jo plays. Imagine if we actually move on Ade SWP & Co? Jo plays.

If recent news reports are to be believed, Jo is being courted by a host of clubs. I am hoping with Dzeko, Tevez, Balotelli, Johnson and Silva that his opportunities will be limited even should be stay. Even if we get another forward, who would you recommend that will be happy sitting on the bench? Sanchez? Hazard? (Think they'd be gone in a year)

A central back up attacking midfielder is next on my list, someone who wont mind sitting on the bench but will challenge for places, if we dont sign him now we will need it in summer when vieira retires we will have little or no central midfield cover.

Ill put my head on the line and say charlie adam for 3m or whatever would be ideal, be great second choice and would relish being here, still young too

Torres is looking a little pissed off as late. Are we allowed to start rumours based on nothing whatsoever?

I think Adam has done enough to get a move should Blackpool go down this season, but I think he is still sold on the fairytale at the moment and won't move till the summer at the earliest.

Not here, but I can suggest somewhere you'd be worshipped for it.

I don't think we'll bring anyone in till summer, unless we get a very good opportunity (i.e. like VDV) or if we get good offers to move the wasters on, which would then leave us a little light. The main one could be a keeper, if we find a way to let Shay leave without going to a rival.

Out of interest, does anyone know about the fair play rules and player sales? If we don't sell anyone till summer, would that look better on the books than selling now, as it would be income coming in in the fair play period?

That little midfield spitfire from Borussia Dortmund looks tasty. Can't remember his name. Everyone is wan king over their Japanese striker but I'd prefer their little midfield dynamo. He'd be one to buy and groom with silva.

Cheers

I thought the Japanese guy was their midfield dynamo? Kagawa? Maybe I'm confused.
