Love watching forwards trying and failing to go past him.

Wio of course, oh, and Vidic, Brown, Evans - Rafael can play a blinder at CB and his faggot arse brother Fabio is a legend in the position but they are just waiting for him to grow up a bit.
How very dare you suggest otherwise

He was in a 1-on-1 and my mate started panicking, I shouted 'Back Pocket Vinnie', which he duly obliged. That's how much faith I have in the bloke.

I can't compare him to anyone else because I don't follow any other team. But yes he is great!!

His composure on the ball in and around our box is superb. Rarely hoofs the ball away, instead a sidestep here or a shimmy there and he brings the ball out with style. I've been saying it all season, VK should be captain

O'Shea and Smalling are in a different league.

Honestly, and I'm sure I will be ridiculed for this but hey ho, I think he has been in top three central defenders in the world this season.
Why Vince the Prince isn't even the vice captain? I suppose it makes TOO much sense.

He is indeed the best in the league this season.
The City player I was most wrong about. EVER.
Still, in this case, I'm delighted I was wrong. He'll never be the next Vieira though ;-)
Well in Vinnie!! Future legend.

To play devil's avocado, Niall, he doesn't need to be captain. He is a flawless example to all at the club already. I think he can handle the pressure, but why change anything when you don't need to?
He is the best player we have got.

I agree that we should leave him do what he's doing and leave the captaincy to someone else.
However, I disagree that he's our best player. A world great will be recognised as such and he's not there YET. He will be though!
Silva, Tevez and Yaya are already recognised as world class after several seasons playing at a high level.

Fantastic player,i wouldn't swap him for any other centre half i can think of,unfortunately though,we don't have a partner to compliment him.
I'm gonna back that up with a controvesial name i think would have done that - Sylvain Distin - he's no spring chicken anymore, but he is playing superb, the two of them would have been awesome together.
Another star of the future is James Tomkins.

Forgive me for flagging this up but, according to the Blue Moon website, a fair number of posters have been eulogising about Chris Samba and the (allegedly) abundance of qualities that he exhibits; so much so that they reckon we should go all out to get him to shore up our (shaky ??) defence. Given all the accolades he's been receiving from the Blue Moon gang, I reckon they consider him to be one of the best in the Premiership.
I've never had much interest in Samba, or much knowledge of his capabilities so, on that basis, I particularly watched his "performance" on Match of the Day last night and was horrified. Apart from being a gangling, lumbering carthorse, completely lacking in pace and mobility, his ball control was non-existent and his positional sense was abject. As for his (theoretical) ability to get his head onto every cross which came into the box, he was nowhere to be seen for most of the time and just seemed to disappear in tricky situations.
I know that Match of the Day can often (always ??) give a false impression of a player's capabilities, be they good or bad, but if Samba is held in some esteem by the footballing world in general, VK must be stratospheric in his abilities.
All in all, we've got one of the best who is only going to get even better as time goes by. Wouldn't swap him for anyone.

He scores from corners every now and then, tough, so he looks good in the Fantasy Premier League stats. That's probably the sole foundation for the BM bullshit.

Did I ever tell you I saw his debut? Yes I did, everytime Vinny crops up in conversation.
I watched him for 90 mins and he did not put 1 foot wrong. That was as def mid. He clearly had class. Now he is settled and in his fav and best position. We just need to figure out who his long term partner should be at the back.

He made mistakes yesterday, for 20 minutes I wondered if anyone in our defence had played with each other before. He was brilliant as soon as we started to get into the game, but there were some dodgy moments.
That being said, even non-City fans I talk to rate him as the best, speaks more volumes than us raving on about him.
