Can Tevez and Dzego play together?

Can Tevez and Dzego play together?

Postby peg-6 » Sat Jan 22, 2011 7:49 pm

I haven't seen any good linkup between our two strikers. With Edin up front, Tevez is down even deeper. Sometime I thought I saw 2 Silva or 2 Tevez in the middle. Whenever Tevez was up there, Edin went wide. Why can't they stay front together?

Tevez will learn not to try play opposition on his own and may pass to Dzeko now and again if he comes up to his standards/expectations

Of course they can play together, they did just that today. Not the best partnership yet but if they continue to work and improve..

They're (and I include Silva and AJ in that) will gain an understanding regarding how each other plays, where they run, how they want the ball...etc...all in good time.
It will happen and when it does, we'll be singing from the rooftops.

I think the OP is aiming this more at Tevez?

Yes of course they can play together, however,I'm not sure they can play to their strengths as a duo,i honestly believe Tevez is at his best as a lone man.

Time will tell and besides, summer may well make this question irrelevant.

£6.6 mil.???

You're havin a fuckin laff aren't you? They'll go out on loan somewhere. To the same team. We'll pay 3/4 of their wages. They'll score twenty goals each. Then we'll sell them for buttons.

I think it's time we realize we need to sell the entire team and buy 25 new players next summer!

It's 1.07 in the morning, and far too early to say. I suspect that two players of their calibre will link extremely well. They've been doing alright thus far. Good nighty.

Calm down, people. I just want to say it is too early to put them together from the start. They both are real strikers by nature. They have to learn to play together, and that takes time. If I were Mancini, until they have good understanding to each other, I'll put Edin on the bench, and has him replace Tevez in the second half.

Might be time to let Teves have a break. He's trying too hard and it's hurting his game and the team. The passing football we play doesn't mean that he can start dribbling as soon as he gets it. I'd rest him for the cup game next week. When he disappeared off to Argentina, city turned in some good games and Teves too upped his game coming back. We're being too nice accommodating his 'over achieving' ( ie dribbling too much) and being too harsh on other players .

There's not that much wrong with this team. Yesterday every deflection seemed to go for Villa. Tuesday we got some going for us ( eg Teves's first goal).

I would have gone for Milner yesterday rather than Barry, although he was damn unlucky with his header it seems the occasion was getting to him.

I also thought Kolarov had a very good game yesterday. It's a shame that a shoddy pass from Kolo lead to their one attack and the goal.
