I was amazed today that Zab didn't start. For me he's been in excellent form and should be a certain starter.

Boateng did OK, but for me he's not in Zab's league. I know he's still adjusting to the Prem blah blah blah but we need players who are in form NOW. I would also prob play Micah before him.

Zabba 1st Micah 2nd but there was fuck all wrong with Boateng today.

Really a vote on this?

I'm in complete agreement with you Ted. Boateng had one of his best games for us today and let's not forget that RB is not his natural position. Zabba is definitely the best there but Micah shades second place for me ahead of Jerome

Zabs just needed a rest. Boateng looked pretty good today.

I thought that was Jeromes 1st decent game for us, which makes the argument a little tougher this week. Still think he should be 3rd in the pecking order at the moment though.

The difficulty with this is that Mancini feels the need to make changes because he doesnt think it possible for the same team to play every 3 days.The season is long and the players get tired.

I voted for Zaba because he has played well this year and probably better than the others. If each player played at their best I would probably go for Micah but the impression I get is that Mancini will play with this position as a way of resting players and getting others some game time. Worryingly I fear he might do the same at centre back as well.

Was Micah fit?

I have to agree with Brother Lahad, this is really a no brainer!

Zab is our best right back AND our best left back, Micah is a frustrated centre back.

Zaba is the best by a country mile and has been great this season. I went from being a fence sitter because he was a liability, to a big Zaba fan. Mancini should have played him yesterday, he has got all next week to rest.

Managerial screw up IMO

This poll question has made me realise that there are none of the current squad that regularly get games that i'm worried about playing and many of them i wouldn't mind which ended up starting. Im confident in all of them to do a decent job and only have marginal preferences between them that tbh dont really matter that much game to game. We have a fine squad.

Who'd have thought at the start of the season Zab would be most peoples 1st choice right back? I've always liked him, even if he was a bit of a liability at times, but this season he's been fantastic

Cheers Doug. I saw him sat on the bench but not named as a sub so it would suggest he had some sort of reaction. I'd definately prefer Micah to Jerome on the right, and Zab's to Micah for that matter.

Seems very strange that JB got the nod as I'm sure Zab can manage 2 games in a week. This was our weakness yesterday and even our own players wouldn't pass to him when he got in a forward position.

Zabaleta > Boateng > Boyata > Milner > Richards

Hi everyone new to the forum,
I was at the game yesterday and was very impressed with boateng, which is why i voted for him because this should enable him to push on cement his place in the team, i feel zab will be used as a squad player in a variety of positions i think that will be that with regards to the full back places for the time being because i think mancini prefers that as his back four.

Zaba. He is one of our most improved players. He could easily have spit the dummy at seeing Boateng come in, competing with Richards as well for the RB spot. He has knuckled down and shown he is the best. Our best LB as well?
