de Jong's got nothing on this guy

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

de Jong's got nothing on this guy

Postby mr_nool » Mon Jan 24, 2011 12:18 pm

One of the worst tackles I've seen in a long while. The poor lad's season is apparently over.

IIRC he's gotta a lot of previous including seriously injuring bellamy and dugarry and having to pay an out of court settlement to a charlton player. i remember he was slated all the time by opposition players for being a total cunt.

Winds me up how the media cast wankers like this as "hardmen". Flying in like a twat does not maketh the hardman. I could do that to someone for my 7-a-side team on a Tuesday night. It'd make me a wanker, not a tough nut. I'd love to see this tosser fly in like that on Duncan Ferguson.

Moved to Melbourne last week and was at the game. By a long, long way the worst tackle I've ever seen.

His reaction to it all compounded things - pretty much made me an instant Heart supporter.

Nothing new in this. Man is absolute maniac.

Is that Gerard Sibon by the way who he gives earfull while walking away? Or some other Sibon?

If it's Gerard then with Kevin Muscat and Gerard Sibon it seems to be like Premier League ca 1999 all over again in Australia!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It is yep. Danny Allsopp and Simon Colosimo also play for the two Melbourne clubs.

HAHA

I remember when we signed Simon Colossimo for something like 100k and I was praying we'd unearthed some Australian gem no one had heard of. Quite.

One of the reasons we signed old Colostomy was because he'd broken Andy Cole's leg in a Munes tour game. Fact... sort of.

Update: NOT A FACT. Apparently Cole crocked Colonoscopy.

Interesting. One thing that is a sad fact of life about football, like racehorse or boxers, once their legs go that's it.
I always wonder what goes through the mind of sociopaths like Andoni Olaskoaga, Materazzi, etc.

They obviously go out there with the attitude of physically trying to maim or take out an opposing player,
permanently.
If your a physical man marker or just trying to make a solid tackle, fair enough, but if glass the boots and
call yourself 'the butcher,' you should be surprised if a like minded player takes revenge and
snaps your leg in two.
Yes I know it's a physical game, played it my entire life and have the various scars to prove it. But sometimes
I think footballers act this way because they are under the impression the fans like this sort of thing.

What the fuck was that !? I can honestly say I've never seen a challenge like that before. The work of a coward and it could only ever have the one outcome of being sent off. What a wanker

I used to hate Kevin Muscat and Alex Rae as they are talentless thugs who got away with so much crap its embarrassing.

Incidentally Alex Rae is assistant manager at Notts County.

That's not entirely true. Hamann and Bosvelt are perfect examples of canny players who's legs had long gone but played well for us. Sheringham for West Ham the same. Muscat was always a talentless thug and now it's just being highlighted because he isn't even close to getting the ball.
