Its the Asia Cup semi. This Kagawa who plays for Dortmund is some player.

Korea score from the spot. 1-0

It's 1-1, someone has been lax in keeping up to date scores.

Aus play later. :)

The general consensus was that they didn't give a fuck Slim. 2-1 Japan HT in extra time.

Japan win the shootout 3-0. And you thought City were dodgy at pens.

Japan win on peno's ... korea didn't take one good penalty there.

probably the strongest japanese team they have had since their "golden generation" ... good for them.

That was a very entertaining game ... Id like to see the aussies drop a bollock against Uzbekistan now

Back in Sydney on hols. Watched the Korea-Japan match and now at 3.30 in the morning watching Australia against Uzbekstan. Watching international football here is lousy due to the time differnece with the rest of the world.
Its tough enough to loose as in the Villa-City match but to stay up until 6 in the morning to watch City loose was too much to take !

Go Aussie Go.

Fucking great that was. The standard of the less good players in Japan is improving. There are no real stars (Kagawa, though he clearly has got potential, is still very inconsistent) but there are no really obvious weak points in the Japan team either. Perhaps the goalie coming from crosses, but otherwise it is a stronger unit all round than they have ever had.

I hope the Aus v Uzbek game is as entertaining.

Good to see Robbie Kruse on the score sheet, he impressed me when I was over in Oz, and apparently he's having a very good season this year in the a league

Schwarzer will become our highest capped player in the final. Not terribly confident against the Japanese but at least their semi was a lot tougher than ours.

Matt Mckay MOTM, Brisbane Roar represent.

The Aussie at times play some ugly long ball shite, but watch Matt Mckay, never ever gives away posession, always finds a team mate.

Kewell playing his best football in years as well.

Kewell is playing his only football in years.

Expect a lot more "ugly, long-ball shite" in the final.
