I love that guy in a hetrosexual man-crush kind of way.

The type of player all successful teams must have. Physically strong and does all the dirty work, sticking his foot in, tracking the midfield runner and providing a security blanket allowing the other flair players to flourish around him. He also doesnt go missing when the chips are down, and never hides from the ball or any challenge.

Has been worth every penny we paid for him, and long may he be a part of our club.

All that and I think he is excellent behind the scenes and on the training ground.

I love how people have finally changed their opinion of Nigel. Top top player and IMO the best in the league at what he does. Seems to have added a bit more to his game in the last few months and I for one can't wait for him to score or to see him singing at a cup final.

If there's a better player for his position in world football, I'd like to know who it is. Whatever anyone might say, we have some things to thank Mark Hughes for - de Jong, Kompany, and Zaballeta are three of them.

totally agree - I seem to remember that he got a rough ride from some on this site - one dimensional and all that

but when he does not play we struggle - no matter the level of the opposition

he really deserves the recognition from the fans that he is now getting

Who?

Who has "finally" changed their opinion on him, he has gotten nothing but praise on this site for at least the last 12 months, so who exactly?

He does seem to be a good lad, always smiles at training and 100% on the pitch.

And I am one of them..did not like Nigel to begin with as he was one dimensional and just slowed the play down to a halt.
However, he has changed his game somewhat and for that reason he is one of the first names I look for in the starting 11.

Remember when he signed, sayingthat city were a stepping stone in his career?

Glad that's sorted out!

Thinking about it, city are now a club where top players believe they can achieve their ambition.... Fuck yeah!
