Really didn't expect us to get that much for him (obviously dependent on it getting made permanent)

I think this means we've got another striker lined up.

Nah it just means we've one less problem (and a lighter wage bill).

I really hope Ade sets the world alight in his 6 months and we get the 18 million!

We can confirm that the club has agreed to loan Emmanuel Adebayor to Real Madrid for the rest of the season.

The player will travel to Spain on Wednesday to have a medical.

Madrid have an option to purchase the 26-year-old at the end of his temporary spell in the Spanish capital.

Adebayor scored 19 goals in 36 league and cup starts for the Blues after being signed from Arsenal by previous boss Mark Hughes. The last of those came back in November in the Europa Cup tie in Poznan.

Still feel he has the ability to help us, sad he got forced out in favour of a far lesser player like Jo.

Hope he bags a load in spain and we recoup some of our layout on him.

I`m really curious to see how he does with Real, I usually watch their weekend games so this will be interesting, Adebayor -- Benzema, let`s see if he`s up to it, if he works I think he will be in a starter spot no question
My logic always stays blue, i live in my dreams cause i know it always come's true

Don't think they've got a domestic squad limit, though.

Good luck to him. I think he needs a change of scenery, and 18 mil would be a decent return.

Sad end to this affair.

After his first 4 games for us I thought he would set the world alight.

Thats Ade, Bellamy, Robinho gone and not because they weren't good enough footballers.

Fkn shame

Oh well
