Absolutely spot on, he should take them to court over it. They made rules in which he had to select a premier league squad in which he must select his players from. Who are they to say who his team should be. I would take it as high as possible and make them look like a bunch of cunts.

I concur with you both.

Unless I've read it wrong!

For instance if we played the following team would we be fined.
Taylor
Richards
Boyata
Lescott
Cunningham (if fit)
SWP
Paddy V
M Johnson
Weiss ( if not on loan)
Jo
Guidetti

The so-called big clubs who do it play their 'lesser' players in cup competitions not in the league so the argument that we/they don't get fined for doing it doesn't hold up. The FA have decided not to act on the clubs who field weakened teams in their cup competitions, that's their perogative and they can now never fine anyone who does that as they have set the precedent but Blackpool deliberately fielded a weakened team in a Premier League game to save players for the next game that they deemed more winnable. As it happens they still very nearly won the game but that is an irrelevance.
The rule states you must field your strongest team at all times in the premier league, they didn't so they got fined, what's the big deal? Wolves did it first, got warned and threatened with a fine which sent a message out to everyone else but the fuckwit Holloway decided to ignore the warning. Lets see if he's a man of his word like he always says he is.

The Premier League set themselves up for an appeal here, they made the 25 list and said you may only pick players for League matches from that 25, they did and are now being fined for it.
I also wonder if the fine would happen should Blackpool have won the match, my bet is not.
