KO 14:00
Ground: Meadow Lane Stadium
Live: ITV1[/center]

TEAM NEWS

Notts County midfielder Alan Judge has broken a bone in his foot and could be sidelined for eight weeks.

However, the home side are hopeful centre-half Mike Edwards will return after being ruled out at Hartlepool in midweek with a hamstring injury.

City will be without England winger Adam Johnson who injured an ankle in training and will not be risked.

Striker Edin Dzeko is set to make his FA Cup debut, while Micah Richards may feature after recent back trouble.

BIG-MATCH FACTS

The tie in context

• Notts County are one of three League One clubs paired with Premier League opposition in the fourth round.

Gulf in class

• The Meadow Lane club go into the weekend, 59 places lower than Manchester City in the pecking order.

Head-to-head

• Manchester City are unbeaten in nine league and cup meetings with Notts County.

• The clubs last clashed in the second round of the League Cup at Meadow lane in September 2001, when the visitors were taken into extra time and eventually won 4-2.

• The Magpies have conceded 28 goals in their last nine matches with City. But they kept a clean sheet in their most recent victory over them in 1991, when they knocked the Mancunians out of the FA Cup for the only time in their history.

• Gary Lund was on target in County's 1-0 fifth round victory on 16 February 1991. But they could not go on and make it a double over top-flight clubs, as Tottenham beat them in the quarter-finals.

• This is the fourth time the pair have been drawn together in the competition. City have twice progressed. They prevailed in third round clashes in 1962, and in 1995 when they won 5-2 on their own patch in a replay.

The clubs

NOTTS COUNTY

Current form

• Not won in three league games, since a three-match winning sequence at the outset of 2011.

• Under Paul Ince, County have won seven, drawn three and lost five.

FA Cup form

• The 1894 winners are chasing a place in the fifth round for the second year in a row.

• Reaching the last 16 last season was their best performance in 18 years.

• They are also vying for a second successive Premier League scalp, having eliminated Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light in the third round.

MANCHESTER CITY

Current form

• Last Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa ended a seven-match unbeaten sequence of five wins and two draws.

• Still going strong on three fronts; Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

FA Cup form

• The four-times winners, who have not lifted the trophy since 1969, are hoping to avoid an earlier than fifth round exit for the third time in four years.

• Oldham were the last third tier club to dismiss them. The Latics prevailed 1-0 at Boundary Park in the third round in January 2005.

Might get a few mins off the bench was the rumour before the game. Don't know if he is on the bench yet though.

Boateng playing in central defence along Lescott with zaba at left back.

Jo must have serious dirt on Mancini.

Looking forward to Milner whiping some balls in for Dzeko.

Imagine how happy he must be at getting chances.. I mean he would prob. never even dream of this many starts for us when he first went out on loan, then getting re-loaned and we spending tons.. now he has started how many? Good for him, let's hope he comes good. Think that he has the ability, just needs to stop playing without ANY confidence... seemed to make all the right moves the first few games but never got the ball.

I would love for atleast one of our big transfers under Hughes to come good.. :-)

Sad to not see Assulin or MJ, but guess they need more stamina before they can join the big-boys... hope we can see Guidetti though:-)

Disappointed that Kolarov isn't playing. With Zabaleta playing on his wrong side and Jo also on the left I'm not sure how much service Dzeko will get from that flank. Interesting to see Boateng playing at centre back, a position he prefers. Obviously we'd all like to see Silva and Tevez from the start ( are they on the bench?) but Mancini has to think about Birmingham on Wednesday and West Brom the following Saturday. We must get six points from those two.

Bottom line this side should be good enough to see off Notts County. Dzeko to get a goal into the bargain.

Thought Kasper was at Notts? Not playing so guess not:P (*edit* sold to Leeds aparently).

Service from the left will either have to come from Zabaleta shifting it to his right (same for Jo I guess if he is not left footed?).

Disappointed that Assulin and MJ aren't near the squad. Would also like Guidetti to be starting over Jo.

Be good to see how Jerome gets on at centre back though.

I like the midfield, total bull dozer players should win any physical contest.

I've come round to Vieira, I like seeing his name in the first 11 in cup games, its re-assuring.
