Not a bad call on Nico but then again I can see Twitchy playing exactly the same game with us as we've done over the last few windows. Do not strengthen one of your rivals

I've been saying ever since the AJ injury that we should get in a good wide man. There's no rational basis for expecting SWP to deliver the quality AJ has this season. Micah put in two good crosses today and Kolarov one but Dzeko needs service. I'm still desperately hoping we can get in someone by tomorrow night.

What about N'zogbia?

I'd rather play a one legged Adam Johnson than SWP.

I was worried when it happened it was a bad one just because of everybody's reaction.

I had the same and was out for 6 month (after doing it the 2nd time), apparently the nerve damage is where it's at. I played my first 2 games like a spakka and then did the same again, another 4 months in crutches (which I never used) which I thought was the end of me.

Luckily, I played on for another 6 years, but was never the same. I fancied myself as the same player as Johnno.

The obvious thing to do is to bang in a big offer for Ashley Young who could make an immediate impact. I don't suppose we'd get him but we should try. Other possibilities are Elia from Hamburg, Alexis Sanchez from Udinese and Marko Marin from Werder Bremen. Kolarov should get on the blower to Marin because they're both Serbs. Another possibility is Nico Kranjcar although I realise Spurs probably won't want to deal with us. Nico isn't a winger but he's a flexible wide man with great technique.

GET MOVING.
