And just a few hours before the window shuts. This and the 20 odd mill bid for Andy Carroll. Of course there's evidence of a clear strategy there; Carroll not available; bid for Aguero. Two very similar players.

Obviously seeing that 4th spot fading away...

Similar players? Maybe if you cloned Aguero and stood one Aguero on the shoulders of the other.

Wait, are you being sarcastic?

Many a true word spoken in jest. Especially now we need a winger.

Everybody has a price y'know.

Spurs' finances are a mystery to me. They seem to have endless amounts but nobody picks them up on the fact they spend like its going out of fashion.

Noticed this over the past five or six seasons as well. Expected them to go all out for Suarez but didn't think they'd have anything like 38 million to spend on anyone.

Not just over past few years but always. They've been like that since as long as I can remember.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
