and Given,Taylor,Logan,Vieira,MJ,AJ,JO that's 7 are not or should not be in contention and then you have SWP. So are we really picking from a squad of 16?

I know Mario is added to that but it doesn't feel like the squad of champions does it?

Compare it to United's squad. You will see we compare quite favourably as things stand. I think we will probably sign another striker, but I dont think we need too much in there aside from one or two kids to add to what we have to occasionally come in to a good quality team (eg, not playing a kids side) to mix things up

Our squad is looking on the anorexic side of thin.

Ah I remember the good old days with the media reporting we had 60 plus players and we would never prune that down to 25 and it would be totally unmanageable. I miss those days.

Let´s add Vieira coz he will be needed in Europa league and maybe Guidetti and Assulin (u21s) - that would be 20
Enough to keep going on all 3 fronts? Could have done with one more experienced addition imo
The form of Milner,SWP and Boateng will be crucial in staying alive in all 3. If they don´t pick up we´re in trouble I fear. Thankfully Boateng stepped up against County so let´s hope for the others to do likewise
