None as yet. I've been having a look around. My guess is he's in a bad way, but in sincerely hope I'm wrong

On the webcast, he tried to get up and looked like he was frothing at the mouth or had been sick, and then fell backwards. He was put in the recovery position very quickly. (Maybe he'd swallowed his tongue?)

However, On the "football first" footage, it's cut out, showing the clash and then Micah on his back. As I say its just a guess from that scenario and I'm not trying to be alarmist and apologise if so.

It's actually impossible to swallow your tongue.

But, my pedantry to one side, I hope the kid is ok.

I don't want to minimise the injury because it looked awful but if it's just concussion he should be fit for the derby. I can't believe he'll play on Saturday though but we really should be able to do without him against West Brom. Shouldn't we?!

Just a concussion??? That is like the Black Knight thinking he only had a flesh wound.

There is no such thing as JUST a concussion. He could be out for 7 days if it is mild, his career could be OVER if the headaches never go away.

In the NFL a player must pass a series of test for I believe two consecutive days (starting with no headache, no nausea and no dizziness).

Corey Koskie was a baseball player. In 2006 while cashing a ball in the air he tripped and fell, landed hard on his back and then on his head. He never lost consciousness, he also never played again. He did try a comeback (just training) in 2009 (3 years later!!!), but the headaches never went away and the comeback lasted about 2 days.

I am not calling you out since you apparently have not had much experience with them, but this is an EXTREMELY serious injury to get.

Check this out and it should clarify what I am trying to say.

Is concussion officially confirmed? It did look really bad. I personally think it really shook the team. He's a big character and a really likable guy and it must have knocked everyone for 6 six seeing him like that.

Concussion would definitely rule him out for the derby. Its at least a fortnight.

Isn't there a rule that says you cannot play for at least 10 days after a head injury such as this?

He was by all accounts still out cold when he reached hospital. The lack of news is slightly worrying

I'm getting rather worried by the lack of update on the City site about Micah - they'd have told us by now if there was nothing to be concerned about.

I was just about to post that. If it's news on the CITY APP or sale in the shop we get bombarded with info!

Why can't they say (if true) that he has a serious head injury and tests will continue throughout the day, or whatever the case may be?

We have leapt light years in some regards in recent times, in others, its the same old shoddy, sloppy, City service.

There is also no update on his personal Twatter

Thanks for all your kind words and concern over Micah. We've spoken to him this morning - he's got a sore head but he's OK! ;-)

Great to hear that he's OK! I was really worried. It looked fucking scary on the telly.

Fair enough mate. I stand corrected. The majority of these episodes do seem to clear up very quickly. It looks like Micah's in that category. He's obviously out for Saturday but hopefully he'll be ok for the Derby. There again maybe I'm being too optimistic.
