I think that most City fans accept that the Premier league title is out of reach now unless we go on an unbelievable run so as long as we manage to secure Champions league qualification for next season, we should put all our efforts into winning the Fa cup or Europa cup either of which would be a fitting tribute to Neil Young....as some one said on the tribute thread ' LETS WIN IT FOR NEIL'.'

4th place in the league and winning both cups would superb.

Premier League all the way, sod cups and pots, I dont give a flying fucik about getting one over on the munes.

I want us to guarantee champs league and not just through 4th spot as I am all about next season and the club getting better in the long term rather than winning the FA or the European runners up cup now.

I want top two and no cups or top four and a bloody good cup run.

A champs league spot is a must this season as it will attract the better quality players in the summer transfer window, plus if we could win one of the cups it would get the monkey off our backs and show any future signings that we have a winning mentality.

Think Bobby will be concentrating mostly on the league..His job prob depends on it if we fail like last season.

Nver say never, we should keep the league run up until maths don't say we can't win it. It takes just one fuck up from them to bring everyone back into the race, I'm sure once the first defeat comes others will follow and they will drop points like flies.

thats right...it's the key to financial flexibility under the new Financial Stasi regime they want to enable. Without CL money we'll be fucked to make the revenue we need to balance the books.

a cheeky bit of silverware wouldn't make any of us sad, but not at the expense of 4th. my feelings on this have gotten more solid as the year has progressed. i don't think i'm wrong about feeling that the club view it the same way as well. No other reason for Mancini to be taking a warm dump all over these cup matches either, right?

I think we really need to just concentrate on beating WBA, the way we are playing we won't be winning fuck-all or finishing in the top four. The cups are a long way off yet, lets concentrate on the league, win them games and the cup games will look after themselves.

I also think that 4th place is absolutely vital for all the reasons stated, though I'd love to see us win a trophy.

And the two needn't be mutually exclusive because, for me, this habit Mancini has of making nine changes for cup games is proving to be counter productive (in a continuity of performance sense).

The title was never in reach and to be fair to Bobby he has always said that other teams are in a better position.

I still think the " League Cup" was our best prospect of winning something and he got it badly wrong, Bham in the final!
