Watched it m8.He did very well but should have been abit more selfish and gone for goal at times...I think he will thrive under Jose and they will sign him up.

He really is a cracking player which I can now admit.
Whining, cheating cunt tho. But a terrific player too.

Two now in 2 games. But I think they were the 3rd in a 3 nil win and in the 90th minute and now the 4th in a 4 .1 win.

Nice goals and I agree it's a great shame we havent been able to use him. I watched the game for the first 15 minutes or so and hardly had a touch of the ball.

The main thing with Ronaldo he believes in himself and that transfers to quality on the pitch....Some of our players need abit of that and we will be a whole lot better off.
Looking at the scouse today there getting abit of winning, battling mentality under Kenny..Its amazing how much can be achieved if your mind is in a good positive place.

The difference in the self belief of the Chelsea players now under this non entity compared to the way they were under Mourinho is huge.

Very true Ted...After the fab start of this season, Jose would of had them pushing on for the title by now, albeit with near enough the same squad...Somethings not quite right anymore is it? Still in with a shout for top 4, but thats a backward step..Never thought id see Chelsea battling for 3rd or 4th spot after so much promise early on.

Really? Ancelotti is simply suffering the same fate that Jose did prior to his departure and if I recall correctly Chelsea were 8th when Jose departed and drawing at home to Norwegian teams in the CL. Once the owner undercuts the managers authority it creates uncertainty and it becomes difficulty to get it back. When taggart announced he was going to retire the team performance started to drop off because subconsciously players, staff all stop listening because they know you won't be around any longer. Taggart admitted it was a mistake to announce it in advance. Ancelotti is unlikely to be around next season whereas last season he was clearly Roman's man. It makes a big difference.

Ye Ted, I just think Jose is a better manager than Carlo and would have pushed them on after a great start...Imo they made a big mistake sacking him.

Edit So do you think Carlo will deffo get the chop and the players are sensing it, hence the way there playing?

I don't know what will happen but although I've never been a fan of Mourinho, I've had to hold my hands up & admit he's on another planet to just about everybody else. Winning the Chump's Lg with that Inter team has convinced me of that. It was an incredible achievement when you consider how average they were in Europe before & are again now.

The owner managed to spoil things for him at Chelsea but the mentality he put into that team was so strong it's managed to survive all manner of fucking about by inferior managers & still compete at the top. I'm not sure how much longer that can go on for with the best players being older & a vastly inferior manager in charge, but I recon there's a very very strong chance Abramovic will try to get Mourinho back there if & when he becomes available.

If City or Utd aren't in for him, he may just succeed too as Barca are just too good for him to overhaul with Madrid in a short time so sooner or later he should be on the move & it looks like he wants to come to England then.

From our point of view, it will be interesting to see if he can do anything with Ade & maybe hand us a top player back in the summer.

Ancelotti has the look of a man who would prefer to be somewhere else and there has been speculation linking him with Roma which is where he started his career (or something like that). Sacking your No. 2 and replacing him with someone you don't know and against your wishes undermined Ancelotti and once players start thinking your time is up then its pretty much game over. Lampard's comment a week or so back that 'it feels like the last days under Scolari' was very telling.

Ancelotti proved himself last season by bringing the PL back to Chelsea after several years of managerial turmoil so its not as if he's incapable of doing the job. Mourinho is currently the best manager in club football bar none but Ancelotti is up there with the best. You don't win 2 CL and titles in Italy and England by being crap. The other question mark is Torres. Abramovich coveted Torres and its questionable how much Ancelotti wanted him. Maybe its Shevchenko all over again. Whatever it is they didn't look a happy bunch today.

Mourinho is interesting in that he is fighting two battles one is Barca and the other is Real Madrid executives and one in particular. So far he is losing the Barca battle and how often does an employee win in a battle with his bosses? This then raises the question of how much do the RM players invest in Jose's philosophy this season if they think he will be gone in the summer. If players don't believe or invest in the manager then no matter how good the manager is success is unlikely to follow. Jose proved that in his last days at Chelsea when the team was seriously underperforming.

The other issue with Jose is that he is very high maintenance and he creates a very high intensity atmosphere in which the players then buy into Jose creating an incredibly effective bond. This has a limited shelf life with ego's such as Abramovich (and I guess at Madrid) starting to feel marginalised. Players can also start to chaff against it hence John Terry sticking the knife in during Jose's last days at Chelsea. Admittedly Terry is a total cunt which may have been a more significant factor.

I thought it was an Adebayor thread lol.

I don't know why I still have him in the avatar and sig. I've been wanting to change it for few months now but I can't be arsed.

Ade will do well for Real. It is so easy for him there. He has a lot more time on the ball and plenty of chances will come his way in every match and he does not even have to put them all in, the odd one here and there will do.
Not to mention he is a good player. I saw him making good runs yesterday, some nice play in the final 3rd and a well taken goal. I hope he carries on like that and finds the joy in playing football again.

with the option to buy at the end of the loan spell set at 18 million

if he scores a good few goals there and looks ot be worth more could we tell them we want more or have to let him go for the 18?

a hefty transfer pot coming in would help balance any new signings for the ffpr i assume
