Where ARE all these people?

Another home sell out, yet swathes of empty seats in the home sides, dotted around in the lower tiers at least. In the Blackpool match I thought it might be a seasonal thing, but no, same again.
Could it be that a fair few folk bought STs just so they could go to the big games and guarantee a seat, and carry that on into the future?
Or is it some monumental cock-up in the ticketing department?
Anyone sit next to one of these mysterious seats and know the answer?

There is a group of lads that stand next to me and Kinda and they only come to certain games so you maybe onto something there. Not sure why anyone would buy a ST and then not come to games?

That would be me...what with a new kid sometimes it can be hard...generally I give it to one of my mates if I can't make it...but sometimes leave it too late

Another factor could be people 'doubling up' in the South Stand ie. on my row there's at least twice as many people squeezed in as there should be.

Alot of people (wealthy ones) have paniced buyed and bought season tickets to guarantee them a seat. There needs to be a seat excahnged brought in.

The seat next to me is always empty, 110. There is a lot of seat swapping I reckon, as I see the same faces in different seats. Doubling up too. All part of the fun!

I've had a ST since we moved to the new ground, and had one for several years at Maine Rd until circumstances dictated I had to give it up. Unfortunately, the more promising we have become, the less i am able to get to games due to shift working and having two young children. I manage to pass on my ticket for some games, but not all.
I sit in CB326, right over the half way line. If anyone's interested, a mate of mine carries the card with him to games. You'd have to be outside no later than half an hour before kick off tho.

Two near me come from Bristol area I think. Unsurprisingly they don't make it to every game.

Well i can account for one empty seat in the north stand as i have a spare junior card which more often than not doesn't get used.
All of the season card holders are counted even if they dont turn up which does account for a few gaps.

My brother is one of these people. He has 3 seasoncards and has had since we moved to eastlands. I would estimate he goes to two games a season on average. His problem is that he lives in Sandbach, which means he has to drive (so cant have a pint). As he is loaded, he doesnt give a shit how much it costs him and wont loan it out to anybody but immediate family. There are only 2 members of the family who dont have seasoncards and thats because they cant get to many games so wouldnt be worthwhile buying them.
It really fucks me off that virtually every home game there is 3 empty seats next to me. I have had it out with him that loads blues would love a ticket but cant get one, he will just reply its his money and tickets and can do what he wants.
My biggest beef though, is if we get to wembley or any season defining game he will get a ticket ahead of any citycard holder who goes to miles more games than him. I love my brother, but he is a klunt of the highest order sometimes.

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression the loyalty points only go on if you turn up for the games. This is why you don't get a massive jump in points at the start of the season

You get 190 loyalty points early in the season, that's for the 19 home league games even if you dont turn up.

I think the loyalty points thing is a bit of a mish mash sweeney, I could be wrong but I think you get 190 points for a seasoncard and 10 points for each match you attend. He also got 1000 points for no apparent reason a couple of years ago, plus he orders merchandise from the official site which gives him points.
As for telling him, its for a family member and giving it to a mate I did do it a few times but then, at a family gathering, he asked my sister how the game went and she said "what you talking about I havent been". He assumed I had pocketed the cash which I hadnt as I give the ticket away for nothing and has put a banning order on me borrowing it. Like I said he can be a first rate klunt at times.

You dont get any extra points for attending home league games because you already get them early season so wether your card gets swiped or not you will already have had the 190 points.

I was sat next to 2 empty seats but they weren't forthcoming with the reasons for their abandonment

This extra 1,000 points is a relatively new thing and i'm not sure when it started but it's for new season card holders to get them on the points board. Any long time season card holders wouldn't have got them.
