Back to his best today, well played to him. Hopefully we will see the real Shauny from now on.

Very pleased indeed to see him look like the real Shaun today. More of the same, please Shauny lad. Perhaps his rest has enabled him to get properly fit.

Btw, you don't need to be able to pinpoint every cross with side and back spin to be a good wide man. As we saw today, a simple roll across the box is often very effective.

Fair play. I'm probably too critical of Shaun at times.

He lit up the game today and gave the impression that the result would have been different had he started.

They were shitting themselves when he was running at them.

A player with his attributes is what the team lacks,in hindsight,a start may have proved more effective,Kolarov was a waste of time.

A very good idea of Bobby Manc his 2nd half! Welcome back again at Manchester City, Shaunie!

Was impressed with Mancini's proactivity with the substitutions - 60th minute for SWP and Dzeko rather than 80th.

Shaun looked really good. Seems much more of an outlet than Milner ever will be on the right.

Good to see that people weren't jumping on his back in the first few minutes. He needs more time on the pitch, which showed today.

He did quite well & I hope he keeps it up but he's not as good as Bellamy & he's not someone we should need to rely on as 1st change to win us a derby. We need better attacking options. For our position & expenditure, that should be an absolute matchwinner coming off the bench, not a squad player, short in confidence. We are weaker than we should be & it may have cost us the title.

I thought SWP did well no doubt at all.Not great not class but did well.
Kolarov is not a midfield player end of story. He can fill the role against lesser sides but not against a top side like today.

Agree with that but what worries me more is that, even though Zabba struggled & was hopeless for the goal, it was obvious from Kolarov's efforts in the midfield that he's off the pace. Kolarov would have been much more exposed at fullback even than Zabba. He's not the answer. We need pace there. I thought he had pace when I 1st saw him but he hasn't. We still need a left back.

I agree Doug,he isn't a midfielder so its unfair to judge him as such, much the same as Zabaleta at left back.......

How some people can come on and slate SWP after some matches is a joke. OK he is not Silva with a eyes for a reverse pass or even a 60 toe to toe (although im sure he can do it at times). His game ia about pace and he brings us something nobody else can at times...he low centre of gravity and speed get him into great position. If his final ball was a little more composed at times, hed still be up there with the best.

However, still well deserves a place on out bench/squad player at least as he graft his arse off aswell.

SWP is a topman and top player!!!!

Crossed the ball into the box a few times and one ended up resulting in a goal. He did well enough with having so little playing time. We need him as a plan b because always going through the middle with Silva and Tevez can lead to brick walls. Playing Kolarov/Johnson (when fit) and SWP whipping in balls for Dzeko to head home would be a very good plan b option.

Swp has always been that type of player when he's been injured, when he comes back he's poor the first 2-3 games till he gets back into the swing of things.
He just will not get a long stink in the side to prove it though.
Be gone in the summer for sure.
